Out of the loop, what happened?

This what people are up in arms about. There is a very obvious difference between the two photos regardless of the puddles.

This image also came out showing there was less detail in some animations than previously showed, again there is a pretty obvious difference between the two.

Insomniac and it's employees have stated there was no downgrade and that it was just a lighting change and a removal of a puddle.

I don't care how they want to spin it (different lighting, etc), why change the lighting in a scene like that if the bottom version is the end result? The top one looks objectively better.

I've seen some people try to say it's YouTube compression, but that's bullshit too since BOTH screenshots are from YouTube videos.

Dude. What the fuck is wrong with you trolling both this and the Xbox subs adding fuel to fires whenever there’s something controversial going on!?

How is me being ever so slightly annoyed that a trailer from 2 years ago looks better in some areas than it does in 2018 count as trolling?

I've got the Digital Deluxe edition pre-ordered. Can't fucking wait to play the game because it looks really fun. But I'm allowed to not like the practice of beefing up the visuals 1000% for trailers.

You do realise that there are even more scenes where the final game looks better right? That’s called game development and optimisation.

I'm not sure I can make much judgement from those 2 gifs. The lighting on the street could very well just be brighter in 2018 because of the time of day in the game.

Who knows, though. Looks like there's less AI cars on the street as well. It's hard to get annoyed about anything like this for me. Basically every game these days looks beefed up at E3. It's expected.

I think the majority of people don't get too hyped about graphics at E3 these days, though. Everybody knows there are always some downgrades by the time release comes.

Literally every game I see I'm like... let's see what it looks like launch day.

Obviously it's not great for studios to do it, however.

So your annoyed at this but still preorder when there is no reason to?

So your happy to effectively sign up to games that haven't even come out yet and reviewed, because ya know they could be terrible?

But in the same breath are whining about lighting.....

Hilarious.

I pre-ordered so I could get the dynamic theme and Spider-Man pin.

Also, reviews don't matter to me. If something interests me, I will get it. I don't care what other people think of a movie, game, etc.
