Wait. There’s a controversy surrounding puddles in Spider-Man? Glad this news missed me

This what people are up in arms about. There is a very obvious difference between the two photos regardless of the puddles.

This image also came out showing there was less detail in some animations than previously showed, again there is a pretty obvious difference between the two.

Insomniac and it's employees have stated there was no downgrade and that it was just a lighting change and a removal of a puddle.

People are trying to boil the difference down to dynamic puddles or a lack of real time reflections, all the while ignoring the fucking generational difference in lighting quality between e3 and release. I saw a joke post on the general gaming sub of those two pictures with the top being rtx on and the bottom being off. And yeah, pretty much. Their e3 footage looks like it uses Ray tracing when compared to release.

There shouldn't be Ray Traces in the 2017 demo build.

If it was, then Insomniac would've bragged about it and we've would've seen more games using Ray Tracing.
