Thoughts on Palermo’s 3-0 friendly loss to City?

Just got back from the match and honestly, what an atmosphere — absolutely electric. Despite the scoreline, there were some really interesting plays from Palermo that made it a fun watch. The game itself felt quite enjoyable from start to finish.

And wow… what a player Reijnders is.

What are your immediate thoughts from the game?

Great start and I think over all Palermo held their own as well as they could.

Our defence is much stronger.

I am still a bit worried about the lack of ability to actually score goals. The same problem we had last season.

Any idea how we can watch the game outside of Italy?

It’s tough to gauge because Manchester City is just clearly a few levels above us in terms of quality. I don’t think we were embarrassed and believe we will be in contention for automatic promotion this season.

Gomis played the first match after a year and didn't convinced me but the club believe in him so let's see what's gonna happen. Finally after 3 years we have a Defense, Bani was really good, and I liked Palumbo

I thought Gomis played great! And yes our defence is solid.

Was at the game. electric atmosphere and great fans. One thing is it's not easy to not get frustrated against a team like City who keeps 70% possesion. you guys had some good chances In the start with the header from the corner and the one towards the end where the substitute gave a good pass but the forward toed it over the post. if the first one had gone in City would have been under pressure and the atmosphere of the stadium would have put even more pressure. It could have ended up 3-2.I will definitely be following your team as I am sure you will progress to Serie A.Congrats on hosting on a great game.To many more.

Watched the City+ transmission with 5am kick off from Melbourne. Looked like an incredible atmosphere. The Oasis tifo was very cool. An obvious class difference was there but Palermo did ok. A few slim opportunities to score and defence was good though outplayed everywhere. Gomis is great.

Just a friendly. Played against a squad that cost a billion pounds. We’ll be fine, in pipo we trust
