Impact to get an idea then FoamFrat to get understanding. Practiced with PocketPrep and "Back to Basics" by Orchid Lee

How long did you prep for?

  • well done, great achievement

Started with Impact March, so about 6 months. Could really only study in between calls at work and using PocketPrep while I was off. Home life is busy.

I took the UF course but haven’t tested yet, I do have foamfrat though! Did you see things on the test that were in there? Any specific bits of study advice to help prepare for it?

Congrats on passing!!!

A lot of ventilator adjustment questions. They present their patients in centimeters so be sure to know the conversion for centimeters to inches to calculate IBW because the answers will be based on IBW adjustments.

Know your toxidromes and endocrine emergencies. Also have a few heart tone S3/S4 questions.

Thank ya! Best of luck on yours

I took FPC directly out of graduating UF and didn't find it difficult. Derek does a great job of teaching you what you need to know to be prepared.
