Reading through those comments lets you see exactly how entitled U.S. physicians are and how little they care about patients. They truly think that they're the only profession that has to put in extra hours.

The culture in medicine is so incredibly toxic, and I think it's at least in part because med school caters to wealthy students. Most docs these days are just spoiled children who never grew up, and are obsessed with money and cosplaying Grey's Anatomy.

Agree. Many doctors feel that patient’s are there to serve them. Recently had a specialist cancel an appt with no notice as he had a surgery day that day which was long planned. They just scheduled me for a different day and time without asking then were offended when I told them no.

Absolutely despicable behavior on their part. They could have at the very minimum offered you a sincere apology and a discount on your procedure. Good on you for standing up for yourself.

The comments by doctors in this thread are even more disgraceful. They're flat out saying that the "patient sucks" because they didn't expect to have to pay for a full office visit when they just asked a question in MyChart...
