Yeah I agree. I don't take his comments as gospel, but I think there's an interesting point to consider, which is that as specialized knowledge becomes more broadly available and easily accessible, what are the key skills to have in the future? I believe it's critical thinking, general knowledge, and emotional maturity. Like, for me personally, I'll probably travel more and pursue a third master's degree rather than a PhD or professional degree.

Go look at what their kids are studying, their nieces and nephews- I bet you they don’t give the same advice to them.

I just had a kid. I had the same thought. Why would you need doctors? I was buried in GPT 5 researching natural birth and birth plans and getting advice on how to advocate for my wife and debating Arrive trail and inductions with her OB I tell you what…..When his heart rate dropped and that emergency team came and rushed in there. When I saw he was dying and they rushed her in for an emergency c section. Then when his lungs weren’t working and the pediatric team had him in a c pap and worked with him for a good 30 minutes to get him breathing on his own. When my wife kept telling us she felt fine and the doctor looked at her with out even taking. Blood pressure reading and said she needs a blood transfusion. These motherfuckers were hero’s at every step and something that seemed like a code red trauma situation was just a calm Day at work for them. I kept thinking over and over how fucking useless AI is to the average person. That said I’m perfectly ok with replacing lawyers with AI.
