I'm hoping the team puts together a video package for Elliott's return tomorrow, like they did for Gazdag.

Man spent 8 years here and almost played 200 games and almost won us a cup. If they don't it will be sad.

Sorry for Ian and I hope he can recover.

I agree, but at the same time I am thankful that it was a loan and not a sale. We got less than 10 games from him.

I forgot to follow up. Good news new baby came out a week ago. Bad news their first Union game was that NYRB game.

My oldest’s first Union game was also a Redbull loss. But her first game in person was the Ilsinho game. So I think that made up for it, lol. So hopefully their first in person game is a banger of a win as well.

Here's topic that is non-soccer but all about MY soccer. It was three weeks, yesterday, that we were without our AppleTV, sans MLS Season Pass--three weeks after we'd switched from local Breezeline to T-Mobile as our ISP. After about six hours of stoppage time on the phone with Apple there was still no answer. I assumed, and so did Ms. Apple Support, that a call to T-Mobile would do no good since the fouls only happened with AppleTV, no other streaming service.

Yesterday, T-Mobile called with a sales pitch but I took the opportunity to talk to a different T-Mobile human and asked about our soccer problem. Mr. T-Mobile Support eventually figured out the problem: We have a business account and T-Mobile, in their wisdom, took 3 weeks to determine that watching MLS Season Pass was not "business-like" and gave it a red card for our account!!!

Among other choice words, I asked him "How do YOU know that our business isn't soccer-related??!!!" Season Pass is restored and the equivalent of a month of AppleTVPlus and of MLS Season Pass has been credited to our account. I'm still mad about this very poor refereeing.

Sorry, I am dumb when it comes to MLS deadlines. With Ian out and no transfers/signings, it means we are just using that spot for a Union 2 player?

With Semmle and Vazquez moved as well, I think Glavinovich being out means we have two roster spots and two international spots as well. While the transfer window is closed now, deals could have been cut that teams didn't have to announce at the closing of the window. Whether that means we cashed in on the international slots, somehow ended up signing someone, or keeping those roster slots open if we need to bring Union 2 players up (We only get six short term loans for U2 players not on the full roster before we need to use a roster slot for them) remains to be seen.

Is it six per player or for the whole U2 team? And a short term loan is just one game right?

From my understanding, it's six per player. It's why we had to mess about in the early season to get Westfield on a full contract, and why Columbus last year had their goalie issues mid season. With Blake injured and Semmle loaned out, we may be keeping a slot open in the emergency case that we need to sign Pierce Holbrook or Sheridan to a full team contract at GK as well (but that would suuuure make the Semmle loan look silly!)
