The top left one could just be like a college math class or smth

I think this is like the best answer there could be

Lower right: r/Physics

all the big physical science subs are like that. If I wanna talk to real chemists about actual chemistry I have to go to r/organicchemistry and even then its 50% homework problems

the alternative being r/chemistry, which is filled with people who dont know a lick of chemistry past the high school level

originally, this sub was made for physics undergrad/grad students and pro physicists only.

I remember nearly every time I stumbled upon a post on my feed it was a physics question with a couple votes in the negative and only one mod commenting "please go to r/AskPhysics instead".

This year the mods seem to have given up on that "for physicists by physicists" ... mantra? premise?, because, otherwise, not much was going on in here, I guess, or they were tired redirecting people over and over again

And bottom left is r/AskPhysics

I get downvoted here for speaking my experience and thoughts while getting paid for being a physicist over 15+ years in different positions and jobs.

People here are clueless, they don't want hard facts, they want to feel included and proven, which is the opposite of being a scientist.

Stumbled on Richard Behiel's channel a month back and oh my god i never knew QFT could be so riveting.

If anyone knows of a GR/cosmology equivalent of Behiel's channel I'd be super happy🙏

Second eigenchris. Pasaed GR thanks to him.

Electric potential energy is the amount of work required to bring some charge from infinity.

This is useful the next time you bring a charge from infinity.

1 metre is a approximately infinity relative to the size of the system

I love him.

Is that Khan Academy on bottom left? Why?

u/Disastrous_Age8179 3h ago

Yeah it's kinda weird, especially since some of their courses are made by 3b1b himself

12

u/CharacterUse 1h ago

They're designed for people who are bad at (or rather, are still learning) math.

The top left would be ElectroBoom

Float Head Physics is you like physics, but you're bad at math?

Top right could be: Dr. Jorge S. Diaz

Can’t believe no one has mentioned Steve Mould yet.

What’s top right ? Anybody?

u/NeverrSummer Graduate 1h ago

3Blue1Brown is the top right in the math image if that's what you're asking.

u/egnargalrelue Quantum Foundations 1h ago

Top left should clearly be Sabine Hossenfelder

Not exactly what OP was asking but...

Top right: theoretical physics Bottom right: experimental physics Bottom left: astronomy Top left: engineering
