I hate this

Post image

I get so many pimples, like on my face, chest, back, arms, legs, basically anywhere I can have one I get one. I’ve got this giant pimple on my neck underneath my mole… which is a new one for me. I always pop them but this one physically cannot be popped by hand. Should I use tools or just wait for it to go away?

Safest option: Steam that sucker twice a day with a rag/washcloth/handtowel dipped in hot water and wrung out, apply for 15 or so minutes. Then, dab a bit of witch hazel on the area. It should dry out in a week to ten days, depending on the core.

Less safe, immediate option: Sterilize a needle and gently poke near the top, underneath the mole, toward center of mass. Might take a try or two, but release the fluid build up. Gently squeeze from new hole. Clean thoroughly, dab with witch hazel, repeat as necessary.

Also a valid option, but not cheap: Dermatologist, if the pimples are bothersome (they may not be proper pimples at all, but part of an auto immune disorder).

If you ice the area before hand then it will reduce pain during popping process.

For most people. I don't tend to think about that because some people - my mother being one of them - are so sensitive to cold it heightens the sense of touch and makes it worse.

I prefer steaming for that reason, but also because it makes the skin more pliable and opens the pores.

It's a great tip for the people who can use it, though!

(And that variance is one of the reasons biology will never stop fascinating me).

You should definitely use tools but before you do that you might want to consider taking a good long steam shower to see if it might come to a head. You'll probably have to nick it a little bit and then either use q-tips or an extractor to get rid of the contents.

Alternatively much safer approach would be to just put a pimple patch on it and it should be gone in a week

I'm a big fan of the Zit Sticka Killa Kit for really deep blemishes.
