Is it that they've hosted the same international event?

3

u/aLone_gunman 9h ago

yes, sports event, same class not the same event

10

u/AlphaCentuari_66 9h ago

Esports or like an actual traditional sport?

-6

u/aLone_gunman 9h ago

>! eSports are real sports : ( Best question yet, yes it has to do with eSports.!<

eSports are not sport. Sport by definition includes physical exertion. I love gaming and eSports, but it’s insane to equate the two.

5

u/HypersonicWalrus 5h ago

Chess is a sport (by the IOC)

3

u/RodrigoEstrela 5h ago

Esports require more physical exertion than chess and chess is certainly a sport.

6

u/xxrainmanx 7h ago

ESports aren't a sport. They're a competitive game for sure, but since they don't require physical exertion they aren't by definition a sport.

6

u/itisoktodance 6h ago

Chess is a sport according to the IOC, so idk about that argument.

-2

u/xxrainmanx 6h ago

Congratulations, still doesn't make it a sport by definition. If you read line #2 in the Google answer about if Chess is a sport. Go sit down and play your game.

u/NickRohn 5h ago

Are you talking about this?

Because it sure does sound like characteristics that eSports have. The real reason eSports are not considered a sport yet has to do with the rules: they are dictated by the company that produces the game, and enforced by a software

1

u/Res3nt 4h ago

No, eSports events have not always had any developer involvement and sometimes at some games there have been third party modifications to improve multiplayer competitive aspects of the base software. Various past and present Esport titles can differ a lot from one game to another in this aspect.

Not to mention how players can cheat and have been caught cheating while playing.

Mines completely different and notates that by definition it is not a sport despite being in the Olympics. Which is why I stated by definition it is not a sport. The physical requirement is not being met.

Something regarding a combination of Euro, world Cup and summer Olympics in recent decades (including future for Saudi Arabia and Australia), except Sweden is in there, and Morocco/Spain are missing. So not exactly that.

Has had a team or player that has won in the esports world cup?

1

u/aLone_gunman 9h ago

no, gave the hit of hosting something eSports related in another comment

1

u/Nercow 9h ago

I know it's eSports related, but I cannot figure it out. I would've gone with countries that hosted LoL worlds but Korea would be included so I don't have a clue

1

u/aLone_gunman 9h ago

If I say anything else I'd give it away, you're damn close

1

Well yeah, but this could be from people who heavily think they are “white” whites(Chinese, Brazilians, especially Arabians, the red next to West Taiwan, West Taiwan, Portugal). I don’t have anything on Romania, Vlad the hero is a nice guy, only spiked a few hundred people give or take😅
