If a foreign military force invaded the southern United States, we wouldn't be demanding trillions of dollars in military aid from Europe--Our military, national guard, and even the unorganized militia would work together to rapidly and efficiently repel the invaders.
I don't think you have any concept of just how many Americans are armed, nor how well armed they are.
Ah yes, a “what if” that’s completely nonsensical.
The PRC is headed for collapse, both economically and demographically, and likely won’t exist as it currently does in 30 years.
The same is true for pretty much all of western Europe, Canada, and the U.K.
Most of the countries in Central and South America are failed states, and/or far too small to be a serious military threat to these United States.
Most of the Middle East and Africa are in the same “failed state” boat with Central and South America.
At the same time, we’re seeing domestic reindustrialization stateside, along with positive economic indicators.
In short, your hypothetical is nonsense—there isn’t any foreign nation that is on a trajectory to be able to invade & fight us to the kind of stalemate that we see in the current Ukraine conflict.

Oooook….. one guy, and he could be Russian…
In either case, why wouldn’t both sides want peace after all of the death?
