Book Request Weaker MMC to strong, tough FMC

Just watched a music video where the guy is trying to take a vampire on a date. He’s this skinny little nervous looking guy and she’s a very no-nonsense strong looking woman. The whole day he’s trying to find things they can do together while holding an umbrella at precisely the right angle to keep the sun from hitting her. When she tries to bite someone he just rushes over and gets her so as not to cause a scene but isn’t upset with her at all. The whole day he’s just so happy to be around her even though she clearly isn’t reciprocating yet.

I want to read a book with a similar vibe. Doesn’t have to be vampire or monster. I’d prefer if it wasn’t. I just like the idea of flipping the normal dynamic upside down. Every book is the big strong tough MMC, and I’d like to see one where he’s completely at her mercy, knowing she’s more competent and needs to call the shots and is happy to be submissive.

Books I’ve already read like this are: {His Secret Illuminations by Scarlett Gale} {Maneater by Emily Antoinette} Both were great. Looking for MMCs and FMCs similar to that. Preferably contemporary or dark romance.

I think {A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire} fits.

{Charlotte’s Reject by K.R. Treadway} is a great fit for this, and it was my favorite book of 2024. I definitely recommend it!

If you’re open to Yandere, you might like {Horns and Hugs by Logan Stone}. It’s about a succubus that latches onto a regular human dude and tries to control various aspects of his life. I enjoyed it!

I know I've read some like this cause I too like that kind of dynamic but my mind's only supplying a movie rec lol, an old one, Cuthroat's Island with Geena Davis. If I can remember the actual books, I'll try to come back to suggest~

{Preferential Treatment by Heather Guerre} The power balance is unique in this one: he might be a commanding CEO in the outside world, but with her he’s submissive, soft, yielding, and completely at her mercy.
I wish there were more books about light/gentle femdom like this one, where he isn’t a complete lost wimp and she holds the reins.

This looks great. Can you tell me if it has surprise maledom during intimate scenes? One of my biggest pet peeves is when you have a strong FMC and then everything switches during sex - she becomes submissive and he’s dominant.

Mild version of this request, but I LOVE that she’s the “tough” one in the relationship {Sweet Talk by Cara Bastone}. Recommend as an audio book.
