New Releases August Romance For Men Releases
Hello RFM community and welcome to our monthly release post! In the monthly post we showcase new books released by our community authors.
General
ReWoven by J. L. Bortson
The world after the Rupture is a graveyard of broken cities and wild magic. Wild Zones rage where the laws of physics are optional, storms devour whole regions, and monsters crawl from mana vents hungry for flesh. Kesten Forwynd, a disciplined Mender, enters the most dangerous vault yet in search of a legendary artifact. What he uncovers—the Mana Regulator—is alive, powerful, and exactly what he needs to accomplish his mission to bring life back to the wasteland.
But he isn't alone. Enter Luna Stillwater, a Guide too skilled to be what she claims. She saves his life when the artifact nearly kills him—but her motives are hidden, her talents suspicious, and her very steps marked by the same magic his order swore to destroy.
As decay closes in and enemies circle, Kesten must decide whether mending the world means accepting the sacrifices that must be made or daring to believe that healing might begin with two broken people building something together.
A Dove Among Wolves by M. J. Michaels
A Dove Among Wolves is a gripping tale of romance, vengeance, and redemption.
Quintus “Quinn” Agrippa is a broken man, a once-feared Legionnaire now drowning in drink and regret. When he's hired to protect Madeleine “Maddy” Chastain, the spirited daughter of a powerful merchant, he expects another routine job in a foreign city that holds no interest for him.
But Maddy is no ordinary charge. With wit, warmth, and quiet strength, she pierces through his hardened shell, awakening emotions he thought long dead. In her, he finds not only companionship, but a reason to live.
When tragedy strikes, Quinn becomes a man possessed. Now driven by fury and love, he takes on a ruthless enemy that no one in the city dares to cross. What follows is a violent reckoning, as one lost soul wages a one man war to reclaim what was stolen from him.

Arcane Arctic 5 by Peter North
The deeper the dungeon, the darker the secrets.
Jay Morgan didn’t ask to be the dungeon’s chosen King Killer. He just wanted to keep his friends alive, pay off a life-debt or two, and maybe—maybe—figure out how to keep the women in his party from murdering each other over breakfast.
But fate (and a snarky, sapient dungeon AI with questionable ethics) has bigger plans.
Back in the Ice Dungeon and reeling from recent battles, Jay is promoted from reluctant delver to reluctant revolutionary. As Alphonse Howler’s second-in-command, he’s tasked with helping the Black Howl expose King Wenshire’s agents... and accidentally ends up leading an army.
Kalasi, once their silent captive, wakes with vengeance in her veins and eyes like a woman who’s seen the end of the world. She doesn’t talk much, but she fights like a demoness. And for reasons unknown, she really, really seems to like Jay. Or, judging by the hungry look in her eyes, she might just want to eat him.
Meanwhile, Nova has a plan to escape the dungeon once and for all: by transferring her sentience into Raina’s lingering spirit and abandoning the Ice Dungeon forever. There’s just one problem—Jay doesn’t trust her anymore. Not enough to finish the mechanical body she needs to be free. To earn his faith, Nova must do something unthinkable.
As conspiracies unravel, a plan takes shape. With Alphonse’s help, Jay and his girls set a trap to lure the King into a confrontation.
Jay never wanted to lead a rebellion, and he sure as hell never planned to start a war. But the dungeon has chosen its King Killer, and this time, it won’t take no for an answer.
The War Game: War Effort by August Aird
War has arrived — and Carter Ash’s people are outmatched and outnumbered.
The United Interplanetary Republic has been pushed and threatened, and now they stand on the brink. They must face down the Empire of Humanity, and the only chance for survival is winning a war no one expects them to win.
Carter isn’t alone — the exotic Delphinians are coming to his aid, but will it be enough?
And they all know firsthand that the Emperor plays dirty. Carter will have to keep his wits about him while they fight back and try to keep all of their people safe. He’ll need to rely on the remarkable women he’s come to know and trust.
The War Game: War Effort is a LitRPG novel for discerning adults.
Urban Sorcerer 2 by Danny Rogan
As new enemies close in, Clay Carradine must master his magic.
Having saved Thea from being enslaved by an evil sorcerer, Clay hoped his problems were over. Yet his victory has drawn more interest, not less.
As he tries to build a life with Thea and Gemma, the lovely barista who helped him save Thea, sorcerers from other worlds seek Clay’s power for themselves.
With the help of Salem, an arcane bounty hunter, and Eleandra, a sorceress from another world, Clay must learn to defend himself and those he loves before it’s too late.
Idle Village Hero 3 by Leon West
They wanted submission. They're getting revolution.
When the World Council sends assassins to Haven's Rest, Harper does something no one has ever dared: he declares independence. From their laws. From their authority. From their right to control his life. The message is clear: Haven's Rest belongs to the people.
But rebellion has consequences. Refugees flood in faster than Harper can house them. Saboteurs hide among the desperate. The World Council's embargo threatens to starve them all. And through it all, Harper builds, leads, and protects while proving that someone CAN stand against the most powerful organization in the world.
Then they make their fatal mistake. They hurt one of his.
The World Council thought they were untouchable. They thought their power made them gods. Harper's done playing by their rules. Now they'll play by his. Or they won't play at all.

Promotion: General RFM Looking for an Aspiring-Paladin Boy Scout x Sultry Heretic Thief enemies-to-lovers monoromace? Brand-Bound Volume 1 is ready for Kindle preorders now~
Brand-Bound Volume 1 is out for preorder now~ it's a LitRPG with a romance focus! Releasing September 23rd!
Rank. Class. Purpose.
All of creation must be bound to the divine System Interface. So decrees the Church of the Most Holy Menu.
A stench of heresy wafts over the pilgrimage stations! Thieving apostate Jelena is hunting for holy relics to pawn off, even prying them right from the hands of murdered priests. Calaf of Riverglen, sewer-grate sentry and aspiring Paladin, vows to bring the heretic to justice for the good of all faithful. Armed with an inherited, holy Brand, our hero shall rise in level and rank under the rigid structure of the Church of the Menu and its sacred System.
Calaf pursues his quarry through hot spring groves, forests, and dungeons. As he learns more about this relic thief's past, the pair unexpectedly find themselves fighting together through rebellion, inquisition, and a rising tide of rotting undead menace.
The hero's faith in the Holy Menu is unshakable, while the villainess lost all faith long ago. Who will warm up to the other first? Can Calaf fix her? Or will Jelena make him so much worse?
----------------
Strictly between you and me, R4M subreddit? I kind of based the main pair off of Jane Doe and Seth from Zenless Zone Zero. Especially later on. (Also more than a bit of Trailblazer X Kafka from Honkai: Star Rail, but I'm specifically saving the breathy destiny talk from that GOATed relationship dynamic for the next LitRPG actually)
Special thanks to my editor at JD Book Services as well as GetCovers.com.
So there you have it. Good boy x Femme Fatale enemies-to-lovers slowburn. Maybe it'll even do well enough to warrant an audiobook~ Who knows?

Request Is there any mundane mono-RFM out there?
Mundane as in set in the real world with no supernatural or sci-fi elements. It's extremely common in both conventional RFW and Japanese male-oriented romance media, but it seems like everything like that I see advertised on this sub is harem, and even that's rare.

Review / Gush Primal love by misty vixen 'REVIEW'
Just finished it. Read two thirds last night and the last third after sitting down for a couple hours after weekend house cleaning.
TLDR no spoiler : It is a solid romance novel with a cute couple and surprisingly nuanced characters.
SPOILER warning from here!
Actual review: I really liked it. I was hoping for a cute couple romance and i got it, but what i really got from this book was two things.
1.THE ADVENTURE. This is a romance novel first and an adventure novel second but because I was invested in the characters, I got scared for them during the surprisingly intense action scenes and horror scene. The book starts with a fairly 'slice of life' tone but shifts into a more dark/intense one.
Right until the very end I was worried it might be a tragic romance with one of them dying. Which is quite rare for one of these books to have maintained stakes. Normally when a dangerous monster or villain is introduced in a rfm book I roll my eyes at the idea the op wish fulfilment pro-tag is gonna die, but not here and that was refreshing and cool.
- THE CHARACTERS. While conceptually simple Ara and Nox were refreshingly nuanced and self aware.
Nox first, he is on the surface a standard introvert coming out of his shell. But i liked how we saw a flash of his inner resentment at the start. But he saw it too! And I also liked that near the start of the romance he stopped himself and took stock of it, asking himself "do i love her?" "what would our relationship look like if we did have one?" "is infatuation enough?" "would her anger issues and stubbornness be a problem?" This sort of taking stock/ruminating is very realistic and refreshing in this genre.
Ara, on the surface is a stubborn/angry character who needs to address those issues. But I love how self aware she is. Her getting caught up on a minor issue and letting drag her down only to realise how minor it all is, (her worries over how their relationship will be perceived by others) was very relatable to me. And from a writing perspective it's great to see flawed characters in a genre that often smooth overs its characters.
The two together, I loved that they were willing to criticise one another, Ara pointing out that Nox contributed to his isolation with his standoffishness was great, one of the things about relationships is trying to better yourself and helping them better themselves or avoid developing bad habits.
Any downsides with this book? One! The supporting cast was very weak, either underdeveloped or out of focus(Ara's dad) they were pretty much npc's.
To summarise: I greatly enjoyed this book. Having dabbled in Misty's works (the first goblin book was ok but not my thing) (the amazonian book was good but the age gap a bit much 14 years. 10 is my limit)
I will look into her cosy writer / roommate romance books people recommend. And I will look forward to her future works.

From learning how to lead, to protecting the tribe with her great prowess, to finding the right mate.
That last one is an obligation that weighs heavily on her as she enters her twenty fourth summer. Her immense stature and short temper have made it difficult to find a mate she can tolerate, let alone one she wants. And time is running out to choose...
Nex is a magical healer. Scrawny, shorter than most of the other men in his tribe, he wears the burden of being a powerful magic user. Stigmatized, he lives alone in the healer's cave at the edge of his village and spends most of his time in isolation. Finding a mate is difficult at the best of times, but for him? Promotion: HaremLit A fantasy noir detective pulp romance, Ebonreach, is up for preorder on Audible!
https://www.audible.com/pd/Ebonreach-Audiobook/B0FQ69WQLL
Memories bleed. Secrets kill.
The ink on Roland Halloway’s P.I. license is barely dry when blue crystals and murdered bodies collide with his own fractured war memories. The perpetual twilight city of Ebonreach, where memory rain falls and magitech shields fail, conceals darker secrets than even a whiskey-numb veteran can fathom.
He’s not on the case alone, though. With the alluring wood elf Amoretta wielding forbidden memory magic and a seductive succubus nightclub singer pulling deadly strings, Roland races through neon-soaked back alleys and shadowy underground tunnels in search of answers. Malicious tech, corrupt officials, and prophetic sketches forecasting his own death won’t put a stop to this investigation—but the truth about what he did during the war just might.
In this gritty noir fantasy thriller, the drinks are stronger than the ogres, and the past is more painful than any bullet.
Welcome to Ebonreach, where forgetting is the kindest mercy.

Request Looking for anything with a truly weird or creepy FMC
The gate is wide open on this one. I'd be willing to try any kind of FMC who can't be called "quirky," "kooky," or a "manic pixie dream girl." If anyone is in need of rescue, it's her. Here are some ideas of what I'm looking for, but not an exhaustive list:
A basement dwelling NEET woman who is addicted to online gaming and energy drinks
The weird, pale girl from any horror story who is either at the heart of the issue or the harbinger of things to come (but aged up to where it's not weird for her to be a romantic interest)
A monster girl, but one that is really a "monster" and has to hide from everyone and even the MMC for a good while. I'd like him to actually be scared or horrified at first if that's the case, and not have him be shocked for two seconds and then horny
Someone actively stalking or hunting the MMC with romantic interest, but it comes off as scary. I would love a gender swapped and romantic version of Dracula or Phantom of the Opera
Basically any FMC who, if she had female friends, would elicit a response of "Damn girl, you live like this?" on the regular
I think Virgil Knightley's Midnight Nanny comes closest to this so far, though the MMC was a little too into her Tsundere routine for it to really "work" imo. I also picked up Fangs and First Dates with high hopes but the writing was too flat for my tastes.
Any other recs? Thanks!

Request Mono romance by harem authors?
Not sure if this even exists, but curious if there are any mono romance books out there written by harem authors. I LOVE the powerful mcs and amazing LIs you come across in harem literature, but sometimes I like the focus on just one girl. Anything like that out there?
(Outside of the to loves monster girl stuff, just not my jam personally)

Request Looking for recommendations! (prefer human male x monster/anthro female but anything is welcome!)
Hello there!
I've only just recently found this community and I'm eager to learn what kind of recommendations you all could give me. I'm a huge sucker for anything romance and I've already consumed tons of fanfiction in the various fandoms I'm active in. I've recently been 'addicted' to monster girls and/or anthro girls and I was wondering if such books exist as well.
I mainly prefer slow burn romances with really good fleshed out characters. The fluffier and cute the romance, the better! I also have no issue with smut as long as it is done tasteful. Meaning: it is build towards it, not just jumping in bed after having met each other for like 5 minutes. The same goes for harems. I'm fine with them as long as everything is build up sufficiently.
With all of this, I humbly and kindly ask you all to send in all your recommendations (and where I can acquire them)!
Thanks in advance!
