We went to a home game this year and it was very empty. It was a blast for the family because we could go anywhere and almost snagged a field goal ball. There is no way that would be sustainable for the whole organization. We also went to the very first game and it was so fun, what could have been that first season…

I think if the Roughnecks do stick around they should probably relocate to a smaller stadium. I'd like to see if Repole's new more aggressive marketing and ticketing strategy would make a difference with Houston.

TLDR: James Larsen admits the reporting on all 4 USFL Conference teams being relocated was premature. The situation is more fluid than that, and potentially 2 of the teams could be staying (Memphis has the longest odds of surviving).

Comparatively the UFL is the best house in a bad neighborhood.
Most if not all of the spring football leagues are worse off than the UFL.
They wish they had the coverage, backing, tv deals, etc that we do.
You and I may not have agreed with everything Larsen said but he provides a necessary service keeping the UFL relevant with news and rumors.
In the long run I view them shadow-banning him as a detriment to the league.

I agree. For all of their faults, this league has the most stable ownership group than any spring league before them. Ultimately Larsen means well and he's done more for this league than almost anybody on the executive team.

Can you fit a football field in Dynamo’s place? That’d be perfect.

It's the (majority) home field for Texas Southern and Sam Houston will be playing home games there this season while their stadium is under renovation

The UFL killed the Houston market. XFL Rougnecks were supported and competitive. The fan base was energized. Along comes the UFL and they can the XFL Rougnecks only to replace them with the USFL Gamblers who had zero equity in the current market. With those Gamblers, Rougnecks fans get the worst head coach in the league. What a downer after June and Wade. Then the league has the nerve to call this mess "Roughnecks". We knew better. I never missed an XFL Roughnecks game and never went to a UFL Rougnecks game. It was an insult. Just dumb. Now they will point the finger at Houston because they poisoned the well. So now they wil threaten us that they'll take our team away if we don't support them. Well, they took the team away 2 years ago, so I'm not sure what their leverage is. We already have nothing!

The UFL as a whole is a mess
