Post image

Going on a short break for a few days so only need bag allowance. Would this bag fit under my seat? I haven't flown with Ryan Air before and I have seen people in the media going crazy over bags at Ryan Air.

Thanks in advance.

Rescheduled flight error

Hey guys, about 3 months ago I booked a flight from Edinburgh to Vienna on the 11th Jan 2026. Then about 1 month ago I got an email saying it was cancelled and to reschedule, when I clicked the link to reschedule it immediately brought me to the 11th and I clicked a time a couple hours later than the original, no problem. I’ve now come to realise the rescheduled date it in 3 days (11th of September 2025). I’m pretty mad the first date they would bring you to on the reschedule page is 4 months earlier than your original one, but I understand I should have been more careful in rescheduling. What are my chances of rescheduling now? What should I do to try and reschedule again and/or get a refund?

Medication in carry on

I’ve carried prescription meds in my carry on before, but had a letter from my doctor. I am going to Portugal with Ryanair this week and have been asked by family to take over an over the counter cold medication that they can’t buy there. Am I okay to put that in my bag (s) or is that a check in job? Sorry - probably a stupid question.

Question Booking issues

I am trying to book 4 adult passengers. It allows me to pick the flights, but when I add plus (we all need checked bags) it gives me an error saying the prices have changed. When I refresh, the prices haven’t change so I reselect the flights and the same thing happens. It just errors out every time. I’ve tried multiple devices, clearing cache and history.. I’ve tried calling and chatting with no luck. I’m at a loss. Any ideas?

Domestic flight - passport?

Hi, I'm struggling to find a definitive answer for this and am afraid of booking something and can't then fly.

I'd like to fly Stansted to Edinburgh. I and my son do not have current passports. My understanding is that I wouldn't need one, only my driving licence. For my son I'd take his birth certificate (after a bizarre encounter with immigration last time we flew). We are both British citizens.

Is this enough? Would the online check in ask me for my passport number? Thank you!

Samsonsite size vs compliance

I’m looking into two different Samsonsite carryons.

One is the Global Outline Pro (22 in x 14in x 9in) And the other is Freeform Carryon Spinner (23 in. x 15 in. x 10 in.)

Ryanair carry on max measurement is 21.7in × 15.7in × 7.9in for the carry on.

Would be getting the Freeform be an issue? Or would it pass? My flight for Ryanair is the last flight for the day from one European city to another city in October.

Name change on booking

I just booked and paid for flights for me and my gf. Trouble is she changed her name and passport since we last flew Ryanair, but I'd blindly selected her old name when it came up.

Anyone had any luck with Ryanair in a similar situation? I'm not paying them £115 for me to do a teeny admin change!

Checked luggage

Hi, so i am flying with Ryanair tomorrow and payed for a 20kg checked-in luggage. I just weighed it at home and it's 20.5kg. Do you think they will charge me extra or just let it be? I am flying twice and i don't want to pay 9€ for an extra kilo for both flights. Any help?

Ryanair customer service

Their customer service is a pathetic joke. Any business their size should have humans answering a customer service number instead of the automated garbage. Their online live chat is more garbage that continually disconnects

I’m a non E.U citizen travelling to Belgium. Am I allowed to bring cigarette cartons in my checked in luggage?

As the title says, I’m traveling to Belgium and I intend on taking with me 2 cartons of cigarettes with me, for personal use. I’m wondering if I could carry them in my checked in luggage. Thanks!

EU261 Help

Was on flight from Nantes to London Stanstead.

Flight was delayed by more than 3 hours because the inbound flight to Nantes was delayed due to bad weather in London. There was no restriction on our flight due to the weather in Nantes

Ryanair denying EU261 as "Your flight was delayed due to adverse weather conditions on previous sector, outside of the control of Ryanair."

Appreciate that airline use weather to deny claims incorrectly.

Given our flight was not restricted due to weather in Nantes, do we still have a claim via ADR?

Thanks

Baggage Claim after Baggage Delay

My gf and I took a flight in July and Ryanair didn’t bring our baggage. So we had to buy new stuff for the whole holiday for about 700 € (they found our suitcase only on our last day). I know that the Montreal convention provides ground for compensation (about 1.600 € per person) but even though we claimed everything at Ryanair did did not pay for any of the incurred costs yet (claimed about 2 months ago). Did any of you have a similar experience and has some advise? Any experience with ADR against Ryanair?

Question Cambio bagaglio in stiva e orario check-in

Grazie mille a tutti in anticipo!

Experiences in payout time?

My flight was seriously delayed due to a technical defect with the original planed airplane. The replacement airplane arrived 6 hours later.

I filed for EU compensation with the official ryanair form. It was processed quickly, they admitted that they owe me the 250€ compensation and asked for my banking details which I provided in the online portal.

What are your experiences regarding the payout time?

Flight cancelled: booking through alternative airlines

My flight to Brussels CRL in January was just cancelled. The ONLY other flight to CRL by Ryanair on the same day arrives 9 hours later - costing us a full day of our holiday and other events that we have already bought tickets for and would miss.

As far as I’m legally aware, I’m entitled to be rerouted to arrive at a similar time as my original flight (“at the earliest opportunity”). There are other flights through Brussels Airlines to Brussels BRU that would get me to the destination at a similar time to my original flight.

I want to refund my cancelled flight ticket, book a new ticket through Brussels Airlines to Brussels BRU, then claim the costs of that ticket from Ryanair through EU261 expenses. Does this sound reasonable?

I have been talking to customer service all day and they’re telling me it is a risk and my expense claim can’t be guaranteed because they have alternative flights, but I think I’m being completely reasonable in my accommodation requests.

Will Ryanair try to reject my expenses claim on the grounds that it is a different airline / different airport? Will the fact that they have flights within 48 hours of the original booking (that I have deemed unsuitable) have any impact on my claim?

All help is appreciated, thanks
