Is it good again yet?

The first half of saga was one of my favorite comics of all time and then it dropped off HARD with the fidget spinner references and absolute off the rails plotting plus 200 new side characters. Do fans think it turned it around?

What specifics make you feel it dropped off? Im kinda on the fence since I'm still reading it.

I felt like it had HEAT on the story and was organically moving forward and then they either decided it could be a long running franchise and hit the brakes on the main story or they never knew where they were going. But at least from my perspective it went from a really well paced wacky sci fi story to extremely contemporary soap opera. I think my departure point is right after SPOILER is killed on the tree ship. I didn’t feel like the story knew what it was about anymore. Heavily shifting to the kiddos story didn’t really fill the space.
