Collection I got this set yesterday, without knowing anything about it. Thought the art looked really nice. I am literally obsessed now,been binge reading it all day, currently on Vol4. How is it this good?? Such a nice summer surprise for me.

I just found out that the series is not finished and they are notorious for taking long breaks😭🤡☠

A-yup. Just finished a 3-ish year hiatus. To be fair, that was their first break. They've announced the schedule for the rest of the series, however. 6 issues per year, one per month, starting in january. 48 more issues. That's 8 more years.

Edit: there are a ton of great comics you can read in the meantime to tide you over, assuming you're new to he hobby.

My personal recommendation list:

  • Transmetropolitan - Warren Ellis

  • The Invisibles - Grant Morrison

  • Low - Rick Remender

  • DMZ - Brian Wood

  • Descender - Jeff Lemire

  • Fables - Bill Willingham

  • Y: The Last Man - Brian K. Vaughan

  • Die - Kieron Gillen

  • Monstress - Marjorie Liu

  • 100 Bullets - Brian Azzarello

  • Powers - Brian Michael Bendis

And so many more.

My mixed emotions of utter happiness for you and complete jealousy that you’re getting to experience the story for the first time are palpable. I have the three HC volumes that contain what you have and I’ve read through them twice so far. Love the story and art so much. Enjoy!

It's one of the best recent books out there and a rollercoaster of emotions. Great writing, superb art, interesting multi-dimensional characters. Loving it!

Keep in mind tho, that the creators take huge hiatus breaks from volume to volume (the last one lasted almost 3 years, the current one will supposedly last six months). And unfortunately there was a decline in quality in the 10th volume (that's my personal opinion tho).

Got introduced to the series the same way. Was recommended it by a comic book store owner and finished it in less than week! Glad you’re enjoying it.
