Real question to the knowledgable: how much does something like this cost?

Last time I let someone do a pair of mine, it cost me like 50 bucks. They didn't change the whole sole though, only the heel.

SVWTCM =
Satisfying videos without the crappy music
So crappy music means whatever the people on this sub wish it to mean. If someone posts a video that you think has crappy music you can downvote it or report it. If the mod thinks the music is crappy they can delete it.

I appreciate the reuse, however it looked like 80% was replaced. Lol
At what point is it just a new shoe?

It's not a new shoe, the uppers and inner soles are still there! He replaced the outer soles and heels, did some repairs and gave them a polish. Not even 50%, nowhere near 80%!

With the outer soles in that state I can’t imagine the inner sole was still in good enough condition they didn’t need replacing. The outer leather was likely all that was worth saving.

What makes them a $600 pair other than the name brand? Like, what’s so much better than a leather pair from, say, dillards?

I never tire of watching shoe restoration.
