A chile is the next best thing

It really is. Sauce is just flavored liquid so by the time you’re chewing all of that in your mouth together with your saliva, boom. You’ve got yourself a sauce (salsa)

Raws good but you gotta roast or sauteed it. Looks good

I love eating jalapeño’s this way. Shoot, I’ll do this with a hot dog. 🌭 Bite one, bite the other. 🤤

You’re not microdosing anymore. Now you’re macrodosing.

I’m pushing to a much spicier rhythm.

Same but had a meeting and no time to do nothing but grab a fresh jalapeño

9

u/Tacticusaurus-Rex Jul 24 '25

Make it by the gallon and ya don't run out

8

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 24 '25

Honestly idk what it is but I can’t do that 🤣 I make salsa almost everyday.. something about fresh made salsa hits different

5

u/Tacticusaurus-Rex Jul 24 '25

Yeah I'm only making it 1-2 a week

4

u/NeighborhoodHot541 Jul 25 '25

When I do that, I end up just eating a gallon of salsa

3

u/baryoniclord Jul 24 '25

Throw it in a blender with some garlic powder and lemon pepper (maybe even a clove of garlic and/or a little fresh onion) and drizzle in some oil to make it emulsify and turn creamy.

2

u/Sell_Canada Jul 24 '25

Mmm send me one

2

u/FishBrain208 Jul 24 '25

Desperate times call for desperate measures

2

u/zambulu Jul 24 '25

serranos and jalapeños are pretty good for dipping into hummus

2

u/EntrepreneurFormal35 Jul 24 '25

I always eat whole peppers. Serranos are perfect for chomping

2

u/halandrs Jul 24 '25

r/onionlovers would like to have a chat

1

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 24 '25

No thanks, their mouth stankssss

2

u/goldfool Jul 25 '25

Wait if you had carmalized onions and packed it into the pepper?

2

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 25 '25

I wouldn’t 🤣… burrito already had some caramelizad onions… probably not enough for onion lovers but defiantly enough that you can taste it

2

u/Any-Ordinary-9671 Jul 24 '25

I've been eating tacos and burritos my whole life that way. Hasn't killed me yet. I put 18 hot chilis in my chile verde.

2

u/READMYSHIT Jul 24 '25

Whatever way this photo is taken it's as if you're eating this while sitting on the toilet. The circle of life.

2

u/Fragrant-Airport1309 Jul 24 '25

I had some leftover grilled jalapeños from a batch the other night and I’ve just been slicing it up and tossing it on whatever I’m eating. So good

2

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 25 '25

Aka toreados

2

u/Heavy_metalloids Jul 25 '25

My parents used to do this with serranos. Bit of salt on the side to dab it in.

2

u/woodypulp Jul 25 '25

I can't remember if I've done this, but I'm looking and it's hard to imagine I haven't.

2

u/LeMayo239 Jul 25 '25

I need that burrito recipe!! lol My grandma used to make them for me when I was little but she no longer remembers.

2

u/TurboPikachu Jul 25 '25

Jalapeños are goated

2

u/mapper206 Jul 25 '25

I do that with every meal🫡

2

u/capt_awsm Jul 25 '25

Boiled jalepeños cooled and mostly drained of water + small amount of vegetable oil + salt + blender makes a pretty good topping for tacos/burritos. Don't know if I'd call it a "salsa" since I wouldn't want to just sit and eat it on chips.

2

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 25 '25

Mexicans would call that salsa… source: Mexican

2

u/pincheosit0 Jul 25 '25

Se llama chile de amor

2

u/goldfool Jul 25 '25

Recipe unclear....which do I bite first

2

u/PopularAppeal5561 Jul 26 '25

that burrito looks good af, wheres it from/whats in it?

2

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 26 '25

Picadillo, rice, and thin layer of fried beans.. and from my house I had left overs so I made it a burrito

2

u/Past-Product-1100 Jul 26 '25

Take that pico toss it in a processor blender whatever add that jalapeno and bam salsa

2

u/BobloblawTx89 Jul 26 '25

I pickup up this habit from a buddy in New Mexico some years ago. Fresh garden jalapeño, just crunch on em with your meal. Of course they’re always a gamble but I love em still.

2

u/d4wtvr Jul 26 '25

Yeah I eat tacos like this, it’s great

2

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 26 '25

For me it’s last resort and only because I think the bite is too fresh.. but toreados 🔥 I’ll eat all day on my tacos

2

u/40mgmelatonindeep Jul 24 '25

This is the way

2

u/frenix5 Jul 24 '25

You seem like you would be fun to hang with

2

u/boothgremlin Jul 24 '25

I like to make it in my mouth. It tastes better.

2

u/kestrel413 Jul 24 '25

She eats chile de arbol in her sleep. I'm swearing my face off on fire and she and her mom just laugh at me. I thought she was just bragging until I had her mom's cooking. It's the same. Funny thing is her surrounding family doesn't like it as hot. But they can still take it.

1

0

u/Few-Art8098 Jul 24 '25

OMG I would shit fire 🔥 🔥 for days if I ate a jalapeño like that… I might go cry now lol

4

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 24 '25

Funny story, I was visiting family in Houston, and we went to a Mexican restaurant and they had toasted habaneros, so they bring them out and I grab one and told them it was spicy.. a white girl goes im from Louisiana and we eat spicy so she bites it all and within seconds the girl was very red and sweating nonstop I swear I thought she was going to pass out!!! Anyways jalapeños tickle but are not spicy but then again my mom said I started eating chile even before I could speak… also not uncommon for Mexicans to eat fresh chilies

2

u/Few-Art8098 Jul 25 '25

Haha no I get it… my digestive tract would literally reject it if I took a bite like that lol … maybe when I was in my 20s… but now???

-4

u/Cuzeex Jul 24 '25

Couldn'y you just make more salsa from that and few other ingredients?

10

u/40mgmelatonindeep Jul 24 '25

Yeah put chili in mouth, bite, put burrito in mouth, bite ???? Salsa!

6

u/Shark_Attack-A Jul 24 '25

Assuming I had other ingredients and TIME plus I enjoy a fresh jalapeño from now and then

3

u/sixfeetwunder Jul 24 '25

You do it

2

u/Cuzeex Jul 24 '25

Okay I'd be happy to
