Introducing The Rocco - Chicago Culinary Kitchen’s tribute to Ricobene’s famous breaded steak sandwich. Buttermilk battered and fried New York strip covered in their homemade marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and giardiniera on a toasted sub roll.
This sandwich, like the king sized Ricobene’s version, is almost impossible to eat in one sitting. The roll was a little underwhelming but this sandwich was amazingly delicious! Another absolute banger from CCK!

Vinagrete its like one of the best forms to eat onion, tomato, cucumber or red pepper in a sandwich for me, just mix 1 cup of olive oil, half cup of white vinegar, half lime and put how much of salt and black pepper you thing is enough, then just put onion, tomato or what you thing its gonna be good with and its ready to eat.

From bottom up: Trader Joe’s sourdough Egyptian flatbread, lettuce, Trappey hot pepper vinegar, tomato, salt, pepper, pickle, yellow hot peppers, and top it with peppered salami. Fold it like a taco and enjoy!

Tiny cheddar cheese omelette side, so I didn’t waste the remainder of the egg wash. 😎
An offshoot of a Monte Cristo?
The bottom was dressed with a this spread of mayo and the top was blueberry compote then the spring mix.
I’d made the compote last week, and made it sugar weak on purposes so not terribly sweet.
This was savory from the Gouda and the ham, salty from the ham, sweet from the compote and just a hint spicy from the spring mix. This is a perfect brunch sandwich. Needed a little more spice for balance on my palate.
I need to tighten up the compote as it was a bit thin, even though perfectly delicious. I’ll be making this again very soon. Maybe I’ll do a how to it there’s any interest.

Our favorite bbq spot, Harley Qs (Eugene OR), hooked it up with a mixed bag of brisket and smoked sweet onion, so of course we made sandwiches tonight. We used Just Bread Co. Ciabatta, Dukes mayo, yellow mustard, and pickled onions. Plus some Kraft mac. And topping it off with a delicious IPA from Arable Brewing.Cheers!

Have been searching for a good Cuban Sandwich for years in Michigan. Places have them but they always fail on the bread and usually other aspects of it as well.
So I made my own Cuban Bread and I believe it’s just as I remembered. The competed sandwich was better than anything I’ve had outside of Miami.
Thoughts or tips to make any improvements?

Here’s my Frankenstein sandwich.
I had left over pita from Ali Baba Mediterranean Restaurant and some fresh mortadella, capicola, ham and provolone… but I forgot to buy bread!
So toasted the pita bread up. Rubbed some olive oil on it. Salt pepper. Then added tomatoes, and arugula with red onion tossed with red wine vinegar / olive oil / oregano.
It was delish!

Provolone, garlic mayo, Buffalo chicken chunks, banana peppers, feta, Roma tomato, shrettuce and ranch on a toasted sub roll. This is a pizza at a place I used to frequent, thought it’d make a good sandwich.
