Pregonta Renting a car in Sardinia
Im going to Sardinia ( san Teodoro and then Cagliari) in August. And its hard to find a good place to rent. Or is super expensive , or the ratings are not good , or I cant drop off in different locations.
How would be the best place to rent , decent prices and good experience ? 😊

Last year I’ve used Sicily by car, at Cagliari airport.

They don’t return the deposit. Stay away from them.

These guys seem to have good Google reviews. Haven’t tried them yet but already made a reservation and waiting for our trip in September.

I often use Sunnycars.com, in general I don’t like 3rd party but they are excellent. Pick up at good rental places and all insurance is included. Price will hechte same as mid class rentals, sometimes cheaper but with everything including so cheaper in the end.

I answered the same question for someone yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sardinia/comments/1loops5/car_rental_recommendations/

Use them two times. No credit card needed. Only 300€ cash or card deposit. Full insurance included. Fast pickup and drop off. The best!

Have been in Sardinia for 2 weeks, we rented through Locauto. They’ve been excellent to deal with so far, picked up in Cagliari and dropping off in Olbia.

August is the highest seqson so moat likely you won't find anything cheap, sorry..
I rented from Locauto, Maggiore, Sicily by car and never had any issues - but i also never rented in August, I heard there might be issues due to overbooking in high season.

Oh I understand, I always have this issue when I go back (I'm a Sardinian living abroad). I think it's a travesty but unfortunately there are no good alternatives considering that public transport sucks and taxis are almost non-exostent, no uber, and so on..

Man that looks like heaven to me . Good reviews , good price , no deposits, new cars … did you rent there ? How was your experience?

We picked up in Olbia, dropping off in Alighero. Sixt was easy, car is great. Around €50 a day.

Rented from Avis in Cagliari airport, honestly seemed okay and had no issues with return. Around 350 euro for 6 days
