Pregonta Planning a holiday in Sardinia

Hello,

Me and my wife ar planning a 7-10 days holiday somewhere in Europe for next year and we would love to visit Sardinia. We already visited Roma and Napoli in Italy, but now we would like to just relax at the beach.

Can you please give us some tips about where to land with the plane, where to stay, what beaches to see?

We do not have a car and we can not rent either, as we are new to driving and without experience. So we would love to stay in a place that is close to a beach with normal sand and beautiful water. Or maybe there are “all inclusive” accommodations that offer local food and transportation to the beach everyday? For a fair cost?

Thank you very much!

If you’re planning to see the south, it’s not a bad idea to start somewhere like Cagliari and then rent a car. What I’d recommend from personal experience is even if you feel like you want to do everything (which you’ll feel only from a few days here) is to try and not plan too ambitiously. Pick only a few spots. Especially along the coastline the roads are twistier, journeys are longer. It’s better to stick to one region such as just Costa Verde or maybe Cagliari + southern coast along SP71. You want to be able to stop and smell the roses, tbh with 10 days you could squeeze in a good amount.

I was thinking more about finding a nice place to stay, have all meals there and go to the beach everyday. Not necessarily visit the island itself. That is why i am looking for a place with a beach close-by.

Something like in “My brilliant friend”, like that house and beach in Ischia …
