Pregonta 1 week in Sardinia with kids
Hello! We are planning a week in Sardinia in late June. We will be 2 families with kids age 1-5. Accessible beaches are the main priority but would also like a bit of nightlife (we are bringing a nanny). I am so overwhelmed by the size of the island so I have no idea where to begin! We are happy to stay in a resort or perhaps get some Airbnbs. Any advice would be appreciated :)

I generally discourage people to visit Sardinia with very young children if you don't know the area. Here's what you should expect and how to make the most of it.
Sardinia weather is hot, roads are windy, services are lacking, august can be awfully crowded, not many restaurants have changing tables.
Plan accordingly not relying on public transport, not moving too much in the same day if your kids get car sick, avoiding the hottest hours, getting a house where you can cook or a facility/resort suitable for children.
If you want something more relaxing, you could opt for a resort.
Liscia eldi village in San Teodoro is not too far and well connected to Olbia (where you have a fairly good hospital, malls and nightlife). You have availability of boat trips and tours like the one to Tavolara.
If you like the camping life (not necessarily in a tent, you can get a mobile home with AC) there are a lot of those
Some beaches have wonderful fine white sand that looks gorgeous in pictures but will make your kid look like a wiener schnitzel, there are beaches with 1mm-3mm sand size that are much better
Other than that I'm not going to suggest a specific area, some people prefer the north, others the south. It's all beautiful really. Check the facility availability, prices and don't worry too much about the area.

How do the beaches make you look like a Wiener schnitzel? I genuinely don’t know the reference. I know the food though

To make a wiener schnitzel you cover the meat with fine breadcrumbs, a beach with sticky sand will cover your body with the same texture.
Kids roll in the sand, put their hands in their mouth, and it could be annoying

Actually Sardinia is quite nice for kids. But stay away from the “party areas” like Porto Cervo. Also in June weather will be nice.
I advise to look at Arbatax. Got huge nice playgrounds, lots of beaches nearby (perfect would be Porto Frialis AirBnB. Nightlife is okay, but Tortoli and Santa Maria Navarrese with more nightlife are nearby (10-15 minutes by car). And if your kids like animals … do Arbatax Park Resorts. They’ll love the fluffy animals. Boat trips through the Gulf of Orosei and a nice forest in Santa Barbara twenty minutes away … it’s just a good place for families. Restaurants are great, but they are great everywhere actually outside the pure tourist hotspots. If you have any additional info feel free to send a PM.

Check out camping Cala Ginepro or Tirreno resort in Orosei area, low waters great for kids.
