Pregonta Lift from Airport
Hi, we’re a group of friends on vacation in Sardinia. We need a lift from the airport — do you know any cheap ways to get to the city? 😊

Apologies in advance if this question is considered rude or uninformed, but I was wondering if it's possible to visit agriturismi or eat at one if you aren't planning on staying at one overnight?

Hey everybody.
I'm going to Sardinia in a couple of days. The trip was kind of a last minute decision. I've figured out most of what I want to do and where to go but I have a question about renting a dinghy to explore the east coast. We'll be staying in Arbatax for the first few days and I was wondering if we have to reserve a boat several days in advance or if it is also possible to walk to the harbor on the day of and still find something? I know this is peak season on Sardinia and I hope the question isn't too naive.
Thanks so much for your help 🤗

We are travelling to Sardinia in July. We will most likely arrive in Cagliari and leave from Ólbia. My question is if we should go from Cagliari to the northeast side through the SS125 road or spend a few nights in Alghero. We'll be travelling with a 13/14 months old toddler so we're trying to maximise the amount of time we spend in each place instead of having to pack/unpack luggage very often.
Our goal is obviously to enjoy the beaches but ideally include some cultural tourism as well (and yes, we are renting a car).
Our plan through the SS125 would be something like (we may add some nights elsewhere on the east coast or in any of these cities):
- 3 or 4 nights in Cagliari
- 4 nights in Orosei or San Teodoro
- 3 or 4 nights in La Madalena
- 1 night somewhere near Ólbia
If we go through Alghero, it'd be something like:
- 3 or 4 nights in Cagliari
- 3 or 4 nights in Alghero
- 3 or 4 nights in La Madalena
- 3 or 4 nights in San Teodoro (we'd be 20 or 25 minutes away from the airport so I don't think there's a need to spend a night closer to the airport in this case).
Which would you choose?
Btw, do you feel this is a feasible plan? Am I missing something that I would be really great?

Hi! I’m planning an 8 day trip to Sardinia in early October with my partner and would love some direction for where to base ourselves.
We much prefer small local towns and enclaves to big cities. We’ll have a car but being in a nice town where we can stroll back home after eating would be nice. Under 20 min drive to the coast is essential. Thinking of Bosa or Arbatax but open to ideas! 🙏🏼

Hi. Has anyone got any experience of the Club Lounge at Olbia airport. We’ve got an early flight back so will have to leave the hotel before breakfast, so we will need to find something to eat at the airport. You can buy passes on Lounge Pass for £20 each which isn’t too bad but not sure what we’d get for our money.

Where is the best place to live when my top priorities are:
Max 2km from a sandy beach, not too expensive for 3 bedroom detached house with land, mountain view, near to facilities but not near noisy neighbours, warm in Winter, least air pollution and won't get too crowded in the Summer?
Grazie

Hi everyone,
first of all, thank you so much for all the valuable tips and inspiration I’ve already found here. It has helped me a lot in planning my trip!
Together with my fiancé, I’ll be traveling to Sardinia for the first time this September. We’ll be there for two weeks (13 nights + 1 night in Olbia at the end because of an early flight). We’ll rent a car and want to combine beaches, nature, snorkeling, hiking, and some evenings in smaller towns with good food and maybe a cozy bar/pub vibe (not party life, more relaxed).
We’d prefer to avoid big crowds and packed beaches where you’re towel-to-towel. Having some space is more important to us, even if it means skipping the most famous beaches.
Here’s my plan so far:
A few questions:
I’d love to hear what you think! Whether to spend less time in more places, or more nights in fewer locations. Any feedback or tips would be super appreciated!

Buongiorno, we've been loving our time on your beautiful island for a few days now, and we'd love to take some local olive oil home with us to the Netherlands. Do any of you know good places to find the green gold around the Olbia area? Also visiting Cagliari tomorrow so around there is also fine. Grazie mille!

Hello! We are planning a week in Sardinia in late June. We will be 2 families with kids age 1-5. Accessible beaches are the main priority but would also like a bit of nightlife (we are bringing a nanny). I am so overwhelmed by the size of the island so I have no idea where to begin! We are happy to stay in a resort or perhaps get some Airbnbs. Any advice would be appreciated :)

Hello there!
I am looking for some advice about where to base for my trip to Sardinia in the first week of October for 5D4N.
We are flying in and out of Olbia as it is the easiest option from London Gatwick, we will also be hiring a car from Olbia Airport.
After doing much researching, Alghero and Bosa appeals to me the most. Is it a good idea to base ourselves 2 nights in the east coast and 2 nights in the west coast (Alghero and make a day trip to Bosa)?
However, will I be wasting a lot of time on the road to get to Alghero from Olbia?
Welcome any advice! Thank you.

My partner and I are planning to go to Sardinia for a week to 10 days next June or September. I’m already looking into the places we’d like to visit. We’ll probably fly into Olbia. From there, we definitely want to go to La Maddalena and Cala Gonone, Alghero also seem nice to us but I don’t know if it is too touristy.
We enjoy walking (we’re not super fit, so no long hikes), swimming, beaches, eating out, etc.
Are these stops worth visiting? Any tips are welcome! We will be renting a car.

Hi everyone,
My sister and I are thinking about going to Sardinia in July and were wondering about the driving conditions? I am a bit scared to be driving on small roads on the side of mountains - but was wondering how bad they really are. We are thinking to fly into Olbia and stay around the northeast. But if anyone has any other recommendations for better places to stay in with good road conditions please let me know!

Hi everyone! I will be going on a work trip to Olbia next month and I want to make the most out of it, so I have a few questions.
As it usually happens with work trips, I won't have much time to do stuff during the day. Is there much nightlife in Olbia? Is it safe to walk alone at night (I'm a woman, btw)? Is there anything you recommend doing as an absolute must?
Also, I have never been to Italy, so I don't know what to expect. Do people in shops usually speak any English, or should I start learning some phrases in Italian? Do I need to bring cash with me?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am super excited about visiting!

Hello! I am currently planning our family vacation next summer (June 1-June 10) to Sardinia. It will be myself, the hubs, and our 8 yo daughter. We’re huge foodies and love the beach. We also would love to be able to shop and walk around town. Not huge on renting a car unless it’s truly a must (to which I welcome your opinions!) I’ve seen some towns compared to Vegas or totally Americanized and I’d love to avoid that. We’d like to immerse ourselves in the culture and food/beverage! Where should we stay? (Specific hotel recos would be appreciated!)
Thank you for your time!

I have 9 days to spend anywhere in early july, departing from Germany (when i say anywhere, ideally not too expensive lol). I have been checking Sardinia (edit: Olbia, which has a cheap flight) and Sicily as the easiest/best options. My italian friend recommended various cities (Cinque Terre, amalfi coast, capri, puglia etc) but i don't have time to do them all, plus i don't want to be going to a new place each day.
What are you suggestions? I am not sure Sardinia is a great choice if i wont be renting a car, although i heard the beaches are incredible
I am looking for a nice mix of quality beach, beautiful sights, nightlife and convenience since i am going alone on a low-medium budget. Thanks!

Are there any recommended locations for towns with "old town" districts? I'm thinking along the lines of the older architecture like that found in Florence. I've been Sardinia many times but noticed quite a lot of generic modern Mediterranean construction 1970s+ type stuff, rather than traditionally constructed stone abodes. Nothing really against this but I'm after seeing something more historic.

Hey. I’m going to Sardinia in September. I will stay from 7 to 12. I booked this trip without search too much and now I’m in a paradox. My flight lands in Cagliari and departs from Alghero. I’m planning to stay two days in Cagliari and the rest of the days, in Alghero and this region. I will use train/bus to go up. Should I trust in google maps to use public transportation?

Hi all,
I hope someone can give me a hot tip. I am on a trip with my girlfriend across Sardinia by car. Currently we are staying in Olbia. I would like to propose and was thinking about doing it at sunset. Can anyone recommend a nice spot where it is not crowded? The only things my gf mentioned is that it should be romantic (what a surprise) and not crowded. It can also be a bit outside Olbia as we are by car. Thanks a lot in advance for all tips

In Alghero. The texture of the pastry was very flaky like a palmier. Filled with custard. Sugar crusted on top. Thanks!

I’m traveling with my wife to Sardinia in two weeks. I’m curious how people commonly secure their belongings while they’re enjoying the beach, for example if you want to go swimming at the same time. Do we need to worry about our belongings at our towel? Should we have a waterproof bag to take them with us while we’re swimming?

Hi,
We are visiting La Maddalena next Tuesday. Should we book tickets in advance as it can get quite busy? If so where can we get them? What is the best time to cross in terms of crowds?
Thanks!

Ahead of my visit I’m trying to plan meals for my honeymoon in Sardinia, stopping in Cagliari, Oristano, Portixeddu and Chia. Is it best practice to book restaurants in advance? Is it harder to find a table without a booking at a restaurant on a weekend, for example? Does it change from place to place?
We’re not really planning on eating at the most expensive places, we really want to focus on the original cuisine from Sardinia at a locanda or trattoria.

Hello.
Me and my friends are planning trip to Sardinia in last week of the September. We have been watching weather predictions but they differ based on the source. Some of them say it will be mostly 28°C but some of them list 24°C in average. I know it may be to early for profound weather prediction but can anybody at least point me to the best source of weather in Sardiania. I appreciate every help and thank in advance.
