Anyone have good guitar plug-in recommendations for DI screamo of guitar
I’d record directly into my computer when making music because I live in a large city, but I’m having a hard time finding the right tone. Anyone have a good recommendation. I use guitar rig mostly but open to trying something new.
Or if you have a good set up for your tone, I could try to simulate? Thanks all.

Neural DSP Morgan Amp Suite is my go too, but Nolly X would give you more high gain options. Depends on what you want and need, but less gain is often better when recording. I often reach for one of these despite having access to an AC30 hooked up to an Ox Box.
Full disclosure, I don't play screamo but do play punk and punk adjacent stuff and have plenty of recording experience.

For quick and polished tones, I really admire Neural DSP, but for the sake of budget I still end up scouring around for free VST.... Personally, I feel that in screamo, the arrangement structure and those memorable licks matter more.

I like amplitude and specifically their tonex which is user created models. Great for the classic jcm800, orange, etc. Tones

Dude, download the neural amp modeler plugin and then go to Tone3000 and you can find just about any amp setup there. It’s awesome, a lot of people upload their sounds and tones there and you can just play them in garageband or logic or whatever DAW you’re using
