Hotels recommendation

Hi!

My wife, daughter, and I will visit Seville in December with my in-laws (who live in Spain); we are flying from New York. I was looking for hotels in the center and didn’t find anything suitable for our budget ( we are paying for both rooms), so we found a hotel that seems reasonable (4 stars) but is a bit far away from the city center. I’m unsure of how safe the area around it is. The name of the hotel is Hotel Silken Al Andalus Palace. Any comments or anything we should be aware of besides the fact that hotel is far away from all the tourist places and we will need to either use public transportation or pay for parking to go to the city center?

Thank you in advance for all your help!

It's far away from the center. Looks like you already know that. Wouldn't worry about safety. Are you going over the holidays? If so I'd rather be in the center where all the atmosphere is. And add up the cost plus time it takes to get back and forth.

The bus can get you to downtown. Number 3.

Thanks! Is the area around the hotel safe?

That area is one of the most premium areas of the city. Lots of money.

doesn’t really answer your question but I had an excellent stay at Hotel Casa 1800 and couldn’t recommend it more

Petit Palace Vargas ist right opposite the bus terminal for the airport bus. I know the hotel chain (they have several hotels in Sevilla and around Spain) and they offer discounts on their website. Tourist attractions seem to be in walking distance. But it's a rather modern building and not one of those charming courtyard buildings.

Was there a few weeks ago - nice enough place and never felt unsafe in any way. Several busroutes take you to the center of town (or an Uber can do the same for 8-10 dollars).

I think the area is good, next door to the stadium where Real Betis plays. It is close enough that driving to the center is not worth it, I recommend the bus, or finding something closer to the metro line. The car parks fill up quickly in December with lots of visitors enjoying the Christmas lights and festivities, which can be frustrating.

I'd a brilliant stay in The Corner House in Feria. It's a short walk to the centre and Feria has lots going on as well.

I stayed by the train station Only You Seville is a nice and fancy hotel and it was cheap . Just take a cab into town or wherever it was like 6 to 10 euros . And taxi stand is always nearby . My wife and I walked everywhere and took taxi when she couldn’t walk anymore.

I noticed that all the hotels inside were extremely expensive and most were cramped. It’s a very very walkable city . Don’t know if you have any day trips planned or are taking the train anywhere but very convenient . For reference I paid $116/night for a boutique 1 queen bed
