Discussion Will

I was having a convo with a friend about it so i was wondering what people’s opinions on will as a concept is. I personally don’t like it other than the idea of embodying concept.

This is a reminder to make sure that:

I find Will kind of meh when it comes to a story tool, it's literally just, 'my Will is stronger than your Will, so I win.' which isn't very interesting imo

Like the other guy said, that’s more how nephis fights. We have seen sunny embodying the concept of the hunter against the concept of the predator ( the cursed wolf I’m not sure). And there is anvil who used his will to cut other concepts

Concepts are a cool idea and I hope we see more of them

But I'm talking purely Will, not Concepts here

Realistically this only applies to Neph. Everything else is about how you apply your will. It's like using chakra to protect your body (and soul) and strengthen your weapons. Then there are techniques like jutsu which are the concepts you embody and nature of the Will.

Everything else is about how you apply your will.

But that's still the same thing. My Will is stronger than your will, so when I put my Will on my blade, it pierces the Will you put on your shield

We haven't seen much of the applications of Will yet. Sunny applies it in a different way to Nephis tho. The nature of each supreme's will is different as well.

Sunny applies it like a blade, but after speaking with Nephis he applies it to himself

I don't hate or love it .

But understand it .

I like the concept, I don't like how it's been applied

If the G3 did more work on it, it might be very good, but at the moment it just looks like Deus ex Machina

I see it as haki, bypasses/negates concepts and stuff. But not exactly as interesting than the unique abilities of every espect and personal elements such as longing and shadows.

Im neutral with it.

It's basically the thing introduced to explain how gods operate, things happen because they will it to happen, makes since in a way.
