Meme Skinwalker is such a fraud. I didn't even got the chance to use this meme
I made this meme around when Night garden left for Australia through Nephis' dream gate I..e at the start of vol 10 but **who knew** that he was such a fraud. All that build up for what? Getting offscreened?
I am sooo disappointed by how he died. I expected more after how he bypassed Nephis domain and appeared at bastion before the start of mirage city arc. G3 so hyped him but he got even worse ending than Condemnation.
Mordret got so much plot Armor man, I hate how despite being a supreme, sunny had to run from mordret in mirage city and after that Mordret just became a supreme in what? Like 2 chapters? Its unheard of. What did bro even defy??
I know, I know he had to become Supreme somehow but still...
After Condemnation and skinwalker, G3 is hyping up Asterion. **Three supreme titans fearing the return of one supreme beast?** *Plzzz don't let Asterion be a fraud*. Bcoz I am somehow imaging that Asterion will be used and thrown for Cassie supremacy ritual. I hope I'm wrong.

'ah gotta disagree man. He was hella scary during the black desert, and it was shocking when I read that it managed to escape to the real world through saint cor (absolute bum btw), it kinda o fell off after a while but still it was cool for what it was.

but does it compare to the terror of lo49, the vile thieving bird or the nameless sun in terms of aura? sunny and the cohort were killing its vessels as masters while it was a great terror

u/Fast_Dish7306 1d ago
They barely managed to fend off two vessels lol, one died to nephis nuking herself and the other died to a two saints. Anyway, yeah it doesn't compare to LO49 or nameless sun, these have their own soul cores of aura lol

To add onto this, Nephis only managed to kill it because she was immune to one of it's main abilities lol

Saint Cor has to be the biggest disparity between the aura of his True Name and his actual aura in the entire story. Like, how are you gonna be known as “Walking Wake” and still be in aura debt? Bro is an absolute bum

u/Fast_Dish7306 7h ago
He had some aura when he first appeared but he's been a fraud ever after. Especially as we got to know more about him, he was Canonically one of the people in the government who manipulated jet when she was a sleeper into joining them (as a sleeper which we can assume it was when she 16-17 which is messed up) and his management of the government was pretty poor considering he knew it fated to fall but he still insisted on maintaining neutrality (it's debatable if his actions were good or bad bit he still could've avoided a lot of problems if he just took a side) And he later on transported skinwalker vessels to the real world accidentally from the black desert, quite literally brining ruin to the waking world.
His true name is accurate because of one action he does. And it's pretty lame, I'd expect bro to be a powerhouse but he probably isn't even top tier saints

What escaped through saint cor? Isnt saint cor alive?

Remember when the three catagory 4 gates appeared in Antarctica? And everyone was forced to flee into the dream realm which resulted in them being dragged to the black desert? Sunny was the only one able to identity the skinwalker, he with jet and sieshan managed to reach the place where some survivors were in, there sunny learnt from kao that saint cor had already transported some people back into the real world, among these people were some of the skinwalker vessels

Wait, that's how Saint Cor dies??😭😭😭😭😭
1
u/Fast_Dish7306 7h ago
No he isn't dead or taken over, back when everyone was stuck in the black desert duo to three catagory 4 gates appearing, he accidentally transported some skinwalker vessels into the real world, causing skinwalker to go on a spree taking over a lot of people, bit saint cor was spared, either because skinwalker wasn't confident he could kill him, or maybe because saint cor escaped.

I was expecting Sunny to weave some new detection memory And the shadow clan to be hunting them each until extinction But nah boy Modret had to attain supremecy without even trying to
10
u/Monarch_of_Monarchs 1d ago
Also feels like g3 rushing the story to get them to dreamspawn and sacred level
2
u/ItsLokki 1d ago
More like rushing the story so it can end at the 3500 chapters point.

u/Monarch_of_Monarchs 1d ago
Is that gonna be the end

u/Shadow_of_Fiducia 1d ago
At some point he said he wanted the story to end in 1000 chapters but as of right now I don’t see how that’s possible when we just spent like 50 chapters on side quests and all the other stuff that has to be done to finish the story. Like you think they aren’t going to spend at least 50 chapters back in the great river and probably at least 100 with moon man. Not to mention they are probably going to try and save nephs mom from the nightmare. And sunny needs two more parts of his lineage. Damn there really is no way he gets this done by ch.3500 unless he fumbles the whole story.

Moon man is minimum 200 chapter's 😭😭 But yeah true so nothing to worry about ig

It’s kinda clear that he was nerfed so mordret can attain supremacy, but it could have been handled better tho

Nephis defied death by living and sunny defied death by dying, mordret defied himself by shattering himself into millions of pieces

Mordet defies death by not going nuts after going band for band with Skinwalker

Well if the supreme beast has an elusive appearance similar to the mirrors of mordret it is an absolute threat not for them but for human domination... even if this were not the case it is a supreme... it's not like one day it will enter bastion for a 3 vs 1... obviously it will play some tricks

Nah SkinWalker was genuinely scary. It is just that Mordret is his hard counter.

We don't know if Asterion has an Aspect below the Divine Rank. Maybe he was the true first Divine Aspect Holder.
2
u/Shadow_of_Fiducia 1d ago
That’s true. As far as we know mordret is the first but that’s just from the readers view. We know nothing about Asterion. He could very well be the real first. Explaining why anvil didn’t dare go against him. It’s also very possible he just has a powerful aspect but him being divine would make more sense as to why he is so dangerous even for 3 divine supremes.

Idk, I always felt like Skinwalker was kind of derivative - just the abomination version of Mordret. I think Skinwalker would have been more interesting if instead of a random nightmare creature, corrupted Mordret from the 3th nightmare managed to escape the nightmare through someone’s eye reflection and that was Skinwalker. I know the story would have to be a little different to get the cohort into the 3nd nightmare, but I feel like that would have made Skinwalker more interesting.
It also would make it a lot more interesting when Mordret became supreme because he’d be fighting himself, and he’d have to expand his number of reflection to match Skinwalker, risking becoming like it in order to beat it. Much more poetic/symbolic or whatever.

u/Aberon_I Priest of the Nightmare Spell 1d ago
What if he did? We all know Lo49 was a Sybil, and for a time I even entertained the thought that it was actually Torment after a few more evolutions
1
u/SimplePanda98 16h ago
I know time is all screwy in the tomb, but I don’t think any of that lines up - it all happened before they entered the 3st nightmare. Idk if real-world abominations can be from a nightmare that hasn’t happened yet, even with all the timey-wimey bullpocky

Asterion is gonna be a Cassie victim
Their aspects are similar, but i think Cassie's is better.
Be mysterios all he wants, the moment sunny regains his fate, Aster is gonna be a Cassia victim

Skinwalker was a 'Great Terror'. I was thinking of Sunny, who is a Supreme Titan, and Nephis, who is also a Supreme Titan. Why are they not just eradicating this shit, who is obviously a class lower than them and is causing so much trouble.
Answer, it was spread all over the western quadrant in the waking world where their powers are nerfed. it's hard to pinpoint each and every vessel of his.
The only time Skinwalker actually scared me was during vol. 6. After that, I just thought, he is definitely gonna be used for someone's power-up. Like Nephis, whose burn doesn't heal and only burn skinwalker vessels. Like she can just heal everyone and who doesn't get healed will die.
Moreover, I think you heavily overestimated this thing. He was never that big of deal in my eyes.
Mordret became Supreme fair and square. He defied the law of corruption. He stopped himself from corruption by seprating his soul cores again and again and again and split himself into millions of pieces and fought battle against millions of vessels at once.
And what fight do you want to see? Do you want to see millions of fights of each and vessel? How exactly is G3 supposed to drag this fight into 5-10 chapters?
G3 didn't hyped skinwalker that much, he simply said Skinwalker is going through evolution and Mordret attacked that abomination during his state of evolution, when it was at it's weakest.

I get what you mean but G3 definitely hyped him more than any other abomination in my opinion. Like over 500 chapters and multiple fights that even the new over powered supremes couldn’t take out without destroying everything. I agree, I don’t know how he would have done the fight, and mordret became supreme fair and square, but he didn’t have to throw in the little bit about skin walker about to ascend. Hyping up his power even more. Just kinda felt like a bit of a let down, but the logical conclusion to his story. He was clearly designed to be mordrets path to supremacy.
