Discussion About Nephis and the Shadow bond

Remember when the sin of solace says: There is nothing more pathetic than a slave who begins to trust his slaver.

In my opinion their love is unequal and it always has been. Even if Nephis would not abuse the bond, and given her stance on the nightmare spell that is highly doubtful, who is to say what her stance will be once she advances again.

She is still obsessed megalomaniac who will sacrifice everyone and everything to achieve her goals and rarely listens to other people takes on situation. She just do what she wants and somehow it works out. Keep in mind that she has lost a piece of her humanity every time she advanced and there are two stages left.

Even in her name, changing star, she is ment to change and not all changes are for the better.

I just hope when she and Sunny will travel to the Tomb of Ariel or smth like that her character will develop a tad bit more

Am I the only one that can understand Nephis point of view , Sunny pov is basically saying I’ll just sit here wand watch the world devour itself and know that mankind will go extinct, even if it is in the future , Nephis is basically saying instead of mankind going extinct im going to try and save as many lives as possible and stop it , tbh Nephis isn’t really even sacrificing mankind like that just herself , regardless millions will die . Also people who think Nephis could use shadowbond and force Sunny into doing things like battling the forgotten god or challenging nightmares have to be slow there is no possibility of that realistically happening, just for the pure fact Sunny would rather die , and shadowbond are immediate commands not long term so Sunny could kill him self or even kill Nephis if he really wanted to , so it doesn’t make any sense why people thing she’ll force Sunny to do something. After all she’s never put Sunny’s life in danger with the bond in the first place

I understand your point of view . I'm just wondering how things will evolve when they become sacred, because spirits are no longer human. Even if the Nephis we know wouldn't abuse the shadow bond, what about when she becomes sacred? It's not impossible that she won't do it, even if the chances are slim.

Your not wrong I just think it’s out of her character it’s pretty much how sunny isn’t the same person he was during his first nightmare or the forgotten shore , he went from being selfish to more people centered , and I believe the same for Nephis . But I think we will get a better grasp of everyone after Sunny gets his fate back I think than we will have the biggest character development amongst everyone in the cohort especially Nephis , And Cassie
