If Daeron's plan has worked, he would have been a sovereign of an entire realm of Transcendents.

I'm not sure if it would have been enough to save their realm, but it would at least have given them a fighting chance.

The difference between a couple millions and a couple billions are a great factor.

And don't forget one realm being at ten verge of destruction which forced them to abandon it while the other had a timer on it that gets shorter with each ascension.

I'm all for the sovereigns slander but please don't act like the situations they were in was the same .

The fastest way for a kingdom to grow is to have more people working in it (just like it happened after Antarctica and now)

They should have revealed themselves and start migrating mundanes the moment they became supreme (and of course, not waste resources on war against other humans). They wasted 25 years. Humanity would be fully migrated already if they had done so

Sure I see your point, but you have to remember the obel scale .

The more awakened they allowed to ascend the sooner the chain would happen, the more awakened there are the higher grade gates would open .

So it was a resources management situation.

And it was really more of 18 years ( they became sovereigns while neph was about 6/7 ).

And please do remember that the citadels and dream realm as a whole wasn't accommodating to humans, as you remember in the desert Morgan told them that the sovereigns gave up on earth for a while and went all in on the dream realm .

Having millions of people in the dream realm before the foundation they built to support them would just be making the outskirts again but at a larger scale.

You could criticize them on a lot of stuff but that made sense .

They could have still migrated scientist, builders and quakified workers. In took beth less than a year to get electricity in the dream realm. Even since anvil and kisong started migrating people their cities exploded in growth. They wasted decades

Oh let's take our most qualified and skilled work forces into a place even awakened have a hard time surviving with a none zero chance of them dying by accidentally seeing something in any of our citadels.

Also as I said in my Morgan comment, giving up on earth was a recent development, let's say maybe 3/4 years before Antarctica?

Again even awakened don't want to live in the dream realm , people aren't moving there from desire but because earth is dying and staying there is a death sentence.

citadels are mostly safe. You can't develop cities with just soldiers, you need people with useful professions.
the sooner they start,. the quicker cities will be prepared

People will want to move when they are told that earth is doomed

And when you tell people the place they live in is doomed you get mass hysteria.

Look at the evacuation when tyris lost and the titans were coming .

You then get yourself the people who give up and become suicidal or just unresponsive.

People with the mentality if I'm gonna die am taking some of you with me .

People who would want to make the best of their last days and start doing whatever they want .

People who deny those claims and start fighting against the sovereigns ( like seriously unless you're a child whose only info about the dream realm is from movies and comics you would know how dangerous the dream realm is and for the strongest people to say that it's safer than earth would spark alot of doubt, but after the chain those doubts would be resolved).

And don't forget the priority lists and the problems that would come with them.

Focus on the word mostly , that would be too much of a risk that any sain human would take is teny had any other options .

And you my man have to remember that most awakened aren't soldiers, most of them just work normal jobs and professions in the waking world and the dream realm , only those with aspects only suited for fighting would work at hunting and defense the others are just really strong workers ( just look at noctis sanctuary and see the ratio of guards and hunters to workers ).

And again with my point without a foundation to support those numbers and projects you just be making an outskirt out of the citadels.

I don't meant to create mass panic.
Just tell it to key people you want to migrate first. Put more resources into migration and developing the citadels.
You get 18 extra years to do so, they will grow much faster.

And that what they were doing by scouting and adding capable people into their clans .

Just with ten panic of knowing the world is ending.

If it was at a bigger pace it would cause what I described, especially if they migrated who you call " key figures " first , that how you get and us vs them mentality going .

they were only adding awakened, and the focus was on preparing for war.

There was no need to keep their supremacy a secret either.

The moment they started using dream gates, migration, and moving resources became much more efficient.
you can move supplies and materials to the dream realm from earth without requiring a saint. Cities and farms would have developed faster (like they are doing now)
