Finland enjoyed the protection of the American nuclear deturance, which we paid for, before & now that you've finally joined NATO! This is why the Soviet's didn't take all of Finland with their millions of troops & superior military. You'd be speaking Russian without US. FACT. 🤡

And Finland even ultimately lost that war, yet gave the USSR such a bloody nose that it never did it's usual "rearm and reinvade later" strategy.

Swamp, not land as we understand it, with rising sea levels it will soon be under the Baltic Sea. Russia can add it to the other completely unproductive, insect infested, marginal 'land' that they are so proud of having amassed... Siberia, to take one gigantic example, is either rock solid permafrost or swamps with clouds of flesh-eating insects in the fleeting summer. Locals either have to avoid the place or don the beekeeping kit to set foot there.

No. Viipuri was lost and it was the fourth biggest city in Finland. Karelian soil is also very fertile and those lands were also lost. About 10% of Finnish population lived there.

Land around the Baltic sea is still rising because of the ice age and glaciers.Â
