my boy is super dark

anyone know why my boy spider is so dark? I think he’s a siamese tabby mix, and he’s 4. he’s a rescue, and looked like a regular siamese cat when he was a tiny child. js curious. I also have way to many photos of him

I grew up with extra-toasted Siamese boys. I think your boy is so handsome!

Had one meezer almost looked black sometimes (body part and legs). Looked just like yours. Depends on the temp. But as long as they talk your ear off, meezer.

Their coat is temperature sensitive. The colder it is the darker they are

Lmaoooo is it just me or does pic one look like it’s from 1984? 😂😂😂

Mine tends to get darker when it’s colder being that this color coating is temperature sensitive. Some just getting darker with tho age. He’s a handsome boy for sure!

You must live in a cold place then for your meezer to be so toasted

Well done, well toasted 😸

I have one that looks almost exactly like that.

He looks Siamese to me and they usually are bread with another cat type. It’s the genetic gene that they carry that determines whether they have the albino ism gene or not. He looks Siamese. He’s just a dark seal point or chocolate point..

I knew one about 40 years ago like this. He was a grouchy purebred Seal Point meezer.

My boy toasted up when I moved from California to the south, their coloring is a cold sensitivity.

He is gorgeous!! Note to all: Do not use air fresheners or scented candles. These are toxic to animals. Studies show the chemicals in air freshners cause respiratory diseases in both animals and people. I rescued a cat who smelled of strong fragrance, could not breath, and xrays showed lung damage. There are other natural alternatives.
