Vocab & Use of the Language What does churro mean in Colombian Slang context?

I’ve been talking to this insanely gorgeous Colombian chick for a little while now and every now and then she’ll say “Que churro” or “estás muy muy churro” “te veías bien churro hoy” and she hasn’t really told me what that means i always thought it meant i was edible LOL. can anyone tell me before i start thinking more ridiculous things ?

If somebody is churro they’re hot. If you’re churro today it means you cleaned up good

A Churro is a sweet snack. It's delicious. So, what do you think 😏

my fiancée's Colombian grandmother calls me "churro mono"

At least in Colombia, churro definitely means handsome

They call white guys like me monos, like monkeys 🐵 they are not very politically correct. I love it!

Mono doesn’t mean monkey in Colombia. We use it to refer to people with blonde hair or light colored hair.

How would you refer to a monkey in Colombia? Genuine question

I've also learned that what Colombians may refer to as blonde/light hair is much darker than what Americans (such as myself) refer to as blonde! I never considered my hair blonde until I met my partner and visited

I believe they're just called changos there.

Mono also means cute.

You’re 100% sure she’s not saying “que chulo?” Don’t know if that’s a saying in Colombia as well but I know Central Americans that say that all the time (how cool! Or how cute/sweet/awesome! Depending on context)

According to Asale, churro means handsome in Co, Pe, Bo, Ar, Ur; Ch.

Thankfully this isn't in Mexican context, because churro means diarrhea in Mexican slang

You might've meant chorro, because a churro is a snack.

You're right, my brain completely ignored the U and replaced it with O lol

Ever heard of google? AI?

Sometimes people want answers from actual people and not AI-generated nonsense

Bro I literally just googled “what does churro mean in Colombia” and it took 5 seconds.

I honestly get annoyed of low effort posts also. I would have told OP to at least google first and then ask on Reddit if they have further confusion..

OP really just wants to brag about the situation.

I never understood why people criticize others for asking a question ina question and answer sub. In a snark sub? Sure. A science one? Maybe…they like to show their knowledge. But in colloquial Spanish where the word is used in one country and possibly not even the whole country? Come on…just be nice.is it that hard?

I rarely get good anything from Google any longer. I am not an AI user, and I given the fotos it puts together, not sure I’d trust it. I use duck duck go, which at least doesn’t store my searches forever, and any possible answers are usually on the first page. However, a lot of my questions are so specific to a situation, I can’t find an answer.

I had never heard this expression, even though I have a close friend who is a minor pop star in Colombian guaracha and I would have thought I’d heard that by now. But, I’m going to ask her when I’m done typing this.
