Question Spokane FAQ Super Sticky

We get a lot of the same posts popping up over and over again. Every time, someone complains about the posts popping up over and over again. So instead of seeing the same posts popping up over and over again, I’ve decided to create this FAQ addressing the things that are asked over and over again.

The FAQ below will lead to comments in this post. That way if people want to discuss recommendations from this FAQ, those discussions can remain all in one place, making it easier for anyone seeking answers to get community feedback.

None of the businesses listed have been contacted. They are not sponsoring or endorsing this post, and their inclusion does not represent endorsement or sponsorship by this subreddit. This is simply a gathering of your responses to these questions.

FAQ

Edit/Note: I just realized that Reddit always forces a link to open in a new tab. So... be aware of that if you click. Otherwise you can just scroll down and find the answer I guess. I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not realizing that. Sorry. 🤷

For transparency: this post is AI-assisted. I actually started by hand, making a spreadsheet with tabs for each subject, searched keywords, and kept track of what people recommended most. Then I wrote for hours until my ADHD brain tapped out. At that point I tossed everything I had into an AI to clean it up, fill in some gaps, and make it easier to read. I’m not super proud of that shortcut, but I want to be clear, the AI didn’t make this up. I did the digging, I did the tallying, and the AI just helped polish it.

Rants & Raves To the losers that unload all of their trash at apt complex dumpsters…

I see this happen all the time at my complex. People will pull up with the back of their SUV or truck loaded up with all their trash bags and try to unload as quick as possible looking guilty af the whole time. If you are someone who does this bs so you don’t have to pay your trash bill, you are literal human pieces of shit. Specifically, if you were at Pine Valley Ranch tonight. I got your license plate and will make sure our security has your info.

I just couldn’t believe it when I realized people actually do this crap. Screwing other humans over just so you can save some money is just the lowest of the low. We live here, we pay for these services, and we have overflowing dumpsters because of these clowns.

It’s frustrating because we’re all struggling, and I would love to get to a place financially so I’m in a place to give back and help those in need, and you have people like this who have the opposite mindset. I just don’t get it.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Edit: YES the dumpsters are CONSTANTLY overflowing because of these people. I’m not opposed to cheating the system, BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF MY FELLOW HUMAN. Not sure how this is hard to grasp… If they put SO much trash (and furniture) in the dumpsters every week that I have no room for my two whole bags, then yes, that’s a problem. It’s symbolic of one of the many issues in this country - YOUR problem is now MY problem because YOU’RE too lazy to figure out a better solution and put the work in to solve the problem yourself. It’s that mindset that bothers me more than the actual trash itself, guess I should’ve clarified.

Politics Spokane representative protecting pedophiles

Why has the representative Michael Baumgartner not signed the bill to release the list of pedophiles in league with Epstein?

Is Spokane OK with protecting pedophiles? If not write Baumgartner about bill H.RES. 581

Question Spiceology local pickup

I recently ordered some spices from spiceology and noticed they shipped from Spokane and after some digging discovered they are a local company.

Does anyone know if they have a storefront in Spokane or if I can put an order in for pickup to save on shipping? They have free shipping for orders over $50 but I don’t always need that much product.

I love supporting local businesses and happy I stumbled upon them.

New Here Extra ticket for Pete Holmes / standup comedy 9/6… want to join?

Here’s the scoop. My good guy friend bought me a ticket to join him for Saturday’s Pete Holmes show, but I can’t go now due to health stuff.

So now there’s a great dude who’s kind of new to the area who needs a date to the show.

He’s a seriously lovely person who’s a fabulous musician, avid hiker and lover of the outdoors, good cook, and many other qualities (not to mention tall and good looking).

Id love to find him a date for the show, since I had to bail. 🩷
