I want to explain how I chose the next owner of r/Sprunki. I had Pitaya and a few others in mind, but I really didn’t want to mess things up this time. That’s why I took some time to think about it and even put up a community vote. The majority chose Pitaya, and I personally couldn’t be happier with that decision.

Pitaya has always been a chill, caring person, looking out for members, the mod team, and handling situations with professionalism. Behind the scenes, the mods and I have seen how dedicated they are, always giving their best to this subreddit since day one. I still remember when things were tough; Pitaya stepped up, asked to be a mod, and immediately proved themselves as hardworking, mature, and reliable. They’ve stood out to me since the beginning, and that’s why I always considered them as a strong candidate for ownership.

Originally, I had chosen Sun to be the next owner, but after everything that happened, I changed that decision. I’ve since forgiven Sun, and if they ever choose to apply as a mod again, it’ll be up to you all to decide whether to accept them.

For now, I know Pitaya will do an amazing job as owner and as a caring leader for the rest of the team. To celebrate this transition and to help the subreddit grow, I’ll also be hiring 2 more mods. If you’re interested, DM me why you’d make a good fit, no long application, just your best answer.

Tomorrow, I’ll make the final post, officially hand over ownership to Pitaya, and step down. I want to thank you all again, I know I haven’t been the best owner, but this community has truly changed my life in so many ways. I love you all, and I’m excited for the future of r/Sprunki under Pitaya’s leadership. Please give them a warm welcome!
