ROUGH ending to a pretty fun match

Yeah, it looked like Bandido kinda rolled off, so ref had to redo count

Bandido rolled off because Brody was the legal man, but the ref was counting anyway so he just went with it.

Im not a “purist” wrestling fan but the one thing that does bother me in AEW is how often they disregard the legal man in tag matches. They did it constantly at All In too and it’s just confusing to me

Even the commentary didn’t know who the legal men were. That shit shouldn’t be happening.

That was because Bryan got lost and kind of exposed commentary for not keeping up. It was Brody and Bobby.

Even after the outside spot with Bandido and Dax crashing on everyone, Shelton rolled Brody in and Bobby kept going as the legal man.

I lost track myself after that, so idk lol

The fact it was advertised an elimination then the match was not. Then you can tag any man then could not was a BIG problem.

In fairness, in the UK there has been a lot of controversy over "one in one out" rules.

Its sloppy shop. This is something they need to do better. You gotta roll with the punches in AEW.

It annoys me if it's obvious who the legal man is. When the match breaks down and I forget who it is I can forgive the referee for also forgetting.

My hot take for tag team wrestling, and I'd love for a company to implement it one day. Is to have, whatever time limit the match has, have the first half be classic tag team rules, then at the half way mark it becomes tornado tag. That way the first half will adhere much stricter to those established tag team rules, and classic cutting off the ring, hot tags, etc that people know and love. But then people who love the more chaotic approach to tag team wrestling that AEW often does and people like the Young Bucks popularized can still happen at the end. In my mind it's a win-win for everyone. Everyone gets their style of match in one, and both halves of the match can lean more into that style rather than doing both half-hearted.

Or, a "pier six" rule where what you said happens as and when the match breaks down into a brawl. The referee gives a signal that the match has broken down, and it's tornado rules from then on. Be easier to implement than a specific point on the stopwatch, and would add a level of psychology to when a team or both teams would choose to let the match break down like that, similar to how cycling uses the peloton

I like lucha rules. If your feet touch the ground outside, the partner can enter. It keeps things flowing

It looked like the ref stopped counting then Bandido had to readjust. Should’ve just counted the pin cos it looked stupid.

It was like the ref had realized "Okay, this isn't the legal man" and stopped counting, but Cash had jumped in to try to break up the pin and fell short because that was supposed to be the finish, so the ref had to start counting again without switching Brody to the pin because Cash was already right there.

Had me thinking the ending was botched (which I suppose it was) but thought that maybe Dax was hurt which was why they then went with the win as is

In the end I just like to see Bobby and Shelton wrestle. They are really good at what they do. When they dont wrestle on a show I am dissapointed. And fans that give them shit about their age can pound sand. You can't tell those guys are almost 50.

I would like to see Syndicate vs Bandido on Wenesday but it looks like they are moing on to the GOA and Richchet. But the Syndicate already beat GOA over a month ago without much trouble. Perhaps just rematch the PPV. I dont know.

Nah, made it feel more real

That a referee didn't know what was going on in the event they were officiating and looked dumber than a bag of rocks?

True. Very true. .

Sorry, I misunderstood what you said.

I dont see how that makes the ref look dumb, Bandito slipped out of the cover, so he stopped counting and then restarted the count when Bandito reapplied the pin.

Referees usually suck.
