I've enjoyed the stargate series, but never in any specific order. It was always whatever episode was on at the time or things like that. Yesterday I decided I'm going to watch the whole thing in canonical time order. Shows and movies. Just got to episode 5 when they find the (Melotions?) (Caveman episode) and the fact that Daniel, just wants to sit and learn about the culture rather then trying to figure out any info about Sha're or where the Gou'ald might be based, just buged me for a moment.

I know it's a petty thing, but I figure this less then 3 months after episode 1 and he's just reverting to the scientists.

Just started Atlantis. When he was on SG-1 I always found McKay irritating but I figured that was just the character - smug and condescending, fine whatever, Carter always managed to get the better of him.

I'm 4 episodes in on Atlantis now and I literally CANNOT STAND HIM. Particularly whenever there's any hint of danger and he goes into this mad panic mode flailing around and talking incessantly instead of shutting up and working out the problem.

Please someone tell me they tone this aspect of his character down over time? Otherwise I'm not sure I'll be able to make it through 5 seasons of this!

Edit: Thank you all for your reassurance that he does improve (albeit slowly/marginally) - I will persevere!

Do you guys skip any episodes of SGA personally not many but sometimes I skip Lucius episodes because well I don’t think I have to explain.

So I'm catching up Sullivan's Crossing (Canadian made, CTV Drama series) and spotted a familiar face!

I had to double check the credits to make sure, but it's definitely her. Check the comments for a photo.

She is in Season 3 - Episode 3 and 4. I believe it's available to stream on Netflix in the US.

Sullivan's Crossing might not be the type of show that would appeal to many Stargate fans, but it's a pretty good drama series overall.

I'm also Canadian (and from Nova Scotia - where the series is set and filmed), so I thought some fellow Stargate fans might be interested nonetheless.

I'm watching Stargate: Continuum for the first time. The scene where Daniel calls his alternate self (who's a "wack job" in that timeline) and tells him to believe in himself is such a tear-jerker. I did not expect to be moved so much by this movie, but it's amazing so far. No spoilers please! I haven't finished yet.

But yeah; that scene did a number on me just now. Time to go to bed crying.

My dad had only ever seen the original Stargate movie, and since this wasn't the pilot episode, he had zero familiarity with the characters. So imagine my surprise when he sees Sheppard and Weir bickering and says "Oh, just jump his bones, already!"

It's so unfortunate we will likely not get any more seasons. But at least someone could dream of a miracle...
