Today is day 10 cold turkey

Don't have anyone that I can tell as no one close to me knew I chewed. Didn't do it around my friends or family. Just when working or hunting. Was dipping a can a day.

Well, went cold turkey and today is day ten nicotine free. And it's rough and I wanna break down and have a dip at least once an hour. But I'm still hanging in and you can do it too.

Congrats man! Keep it up. It’s tough at first but it definitely gets easier!

Keep it up. You are almost over the hump.

It’s easier to stay quit than to keep quitting.

I hope you're still hanging on. In the same situation, today is my day 10, and just saw this after searching for other people while fighting a craving.

Hell yeah I am! Tomorrow is day 21! It has NOT been easy but it has gotten easier. I bought Grinds and Smokey Mountain. Both are non-nicotine dip just to give my mouth something to do when I was craving a dip.

One day, I accidentally bought longhorn instead of Smokey Mountain. Proud of myself.... I threw it away and didn't look back.

I think the worst part now is not craving nicotine, it's the ritual of the chew. I did it so often for so long I feel like part of me is missing. Again, non nicotine chew has helped and I am weaning off of that now too.

Glad to hear! This shit is hard! I still get VERY strong cravings which makes me doubt if I'm going to make it but I just tell myself to wait a little while or do something else before giving up and that has been working thus far so long as we keep refusing to give in.

I am 4 years dip free in a couple weeks. I promise it does get easier. After about 18 months I no longer crave it. When I see people do it I get sick to my stomach.
