Weather tonight not accurate
Anyone know what temps will be tonight around 10pm? I’m coming up from Boulder and Google says 42, the Weather Channel says 52, and AccuWeather says 72.

Did House of Vibes in Silverthorne change owners? We stopped by for a breakfast sandwich the other day and noticed it looked a bit different. Was just curious that's all.

Yeah, I don't need to do that again. Lol

I gave a ride to two Nicaraguan workers this morning who had an incapacitated vehicle near the Clinton Gulch dam reservoir. Their names are Jackson and Jason.
Unfortunately they left their car keys in my car and I don't have their contact information.
They are staying in Dillon.
Any suggestions on how to track these guys down?

I've lived in the county for a several years and have been subscribing to the Blue Apron meal service. Often they will send fresh (or previously frozen) ramen or wonton noodles (unflavored, not like Maruchan/Top instant ramen soup).
I want to end my subscription, but still have some of my favorites from over the years. Is there any place that has fresh/frozen plain ramen and wonton noodles that I can use in my own recipes?
I've checked Dillon City Market as well as Whole Foods in Frisco -- but perhaps it was hiding from me 😅
I'm hoping someone around here has found a source for themselves and are willing to share the info 🤞

Hi everyone. I am planning a small destination wedding, ceremony is booked in Frisco, CO at the Frisco Overlook (shouldn’t be a hike, just a walk from parking). I am looking into dinner reception and lodging in the area or possibly Breckenridge. Our family are coming from Kansas area of about 900ft altitude and from Texas of about 3000ft altitude. Our wedding is in October, in the middle of a week so I can’t really ask everyone to come in a few days early and stay in Denver first to adjust to the altitude. Some might, but not everyone can take all the time off work or afford a hotel for too long. I am stressing out a lot because I feel like this will further inconvenience people. I’m already making them travel and now I’m making them deal with 9000ft elevation. I am especially concerned about the older people like my grandmothers who are flying in from Texas. I’m planning to include a list of tips to follow in my wedding invites to adjust to altitude but I’m still freaking out to the point of just wanting to elope and host a small ceremony in Kansas instead. We already told everyone though that it would be in Colorado. Sorry for the ramblings. Am I overthinking it or am I rightfully concerned?

Hi, I grew up going to Summit County every summer with my family. Now that I'm married with a 3.5 year old, I've finally gotten my husband to take a trip to Colorado. He wants to come in the October, specifically the week of October 12th, and I'm a little less familiar with what is available in the fall than the summer. Is the alpine slide open then? What other activities are open?

Hello! me and my partner are heading to stay in silverthorne late September! I already made a separate post where people gave great suggestions for hikes. Now I’m looking into other things we could do! So you’re favorite dinner spots, any cool fall events going on, and so on!

Heading to Summit County – Looking for Long-Term E-Bike + Canoe Rental
We'll be in Keystone from August 11–24. Unfortunately, my wife's e-bike broke last week and it doesn't look like it'll be fixed in time (FYI avoid Velotric ebikes, service has been awful).
We’re hoping to rent an e-bike for the full duration to avoid the hassle and cost of daily rentals. She’s a responsible rider and would need a medium frame, she is 5'8".
I’m also looking to rent a canoe once or twice during our stay. The marina prices are ridiculous, so if anyone has one they’d be willing to rent out privately, that would be fantastic.
If you know of affordable long-term rental options for either, or are willing to rent something out personally, I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks in advance!

Like, a real fruit pie. Or pecan. Or banana cream. I’m not picky.
Any recommendations?

Hi all, lurker looking for a recommendation on painters, for a house exterior in Frisco. Please let me know if you used someone you’d hire again?

Traveling on a budget and curious what you all recommend for restaurants in the area that are $15ish or less per person. Thanks!

I’m 28 and single, looking to buy a place near skiing areas. I’m a travel nurse and work in Denver in the summer and Vail in the winter.
I like to hike, backpack, climb, and raft in the summer and ski all winter. I’m not huge into nightlife but do appreciate community.
Can anyone that lives in Silverthorne give me some insight as to what it’s like living there? I chose to look into Silverthorne with its proximity to many ski resorts and seems to be much more affordable than other ski towns.
Edit more info:
I primarily work in Denver during summer and fall so that I can ski bum in the winter. During the winter I work part time near Vail, volunteer with ski patrol, and do ‘unconventional housing’ to keep my expenses down.
I’m currently working in Denver for 21 weeks so that I can save money to get back to the mountains. I’m finding I’m not as okay with spending so much time in Denver as I thought I’d be. So I’m wanting to find a spot close to where I recreate: Leadville, BV, Salida, Vail, Aspen. I’ll still have to leave 3-6 months a year to make travel nurse money until I figure something more permanent.

Does anyone know why housing at Wildernest in Silverthorne is priced to buy so low? Obviously i see that they have crazy high HOA fees, but the cost of buying a condo seems so reasonable (realtively) and it seems everyone who owns there is doing whatever they can to sell their unit.
For example, ive heard they are priced reasonably due to some of the buildings settling and becoming damaged, or that insurers will not cover for wildfire damage anymore.
Anyone, perhaps an owner, have any other insight?

Are you guys running all seasons or dedicated summer/winter sets? What is better? This is for a WRX if that matters.

Heading to Colorado for the first time and staying in Silverthorne! We will be there near the end of September. We’re beginners when it comes to hiking, so we’d love any tips or recommendations. especially on scenic spots that are beginner-friendly. A bit nervous about altitude sickness, so any advice on how to adjust would be super helpful! Also I will be proposing!! So any suggestions for a good spot to pop the question would be great as well!
