My Spatial Sequence Synesthesia (SSS) & time-space synesthesia is my super power.

I only discovered what synesthesia is this year. I mentioned to someone that I visualize a calendar, and they were shocked that I see it at all, let alone in the counterclockwise way I do. I also visualize the alphabet and number sequences.

I’m a project manager with Spatial Sequence Synesthesia (SSS) and time-space synesthesia, which I believe contributes to my effectiveness in my role.

I’m curious to know what others with this type of synesthesia do for a living and whether you also consider it your superpower!

I am retired, but I have worked as a writer and administrative assistant. My spatial sequence synesthesia helps me remember my schedule. I visualize each day as a clock, each week as an oval, each year as an oval. I do not visualize months. I also see a number line and historical timeline

My number form synesthesia (number line and historical timeline, sectioned off by colors) is why I think I was so good at math growing up despite not having the love for math that I had for reading. I remember historical dates (like the years of WWII) by their color and location. I have no idea how people without this number line do math at all.
