Is season 6B just rage bait? Because every scene with Monroe is awful
This part of the season had so much potential. The idea is great of everyone turning on them out of fear but the casting for Monroe is so bad. The writing doesn’t help but the actress herself did such a terrible job in this role. She sounds like she’s ordering a Starbucks drink in every line delivery, her facial expressions and reactions are beyond infuriating. She simply cannot act and definitely should not be a in wearwolf hunter role. Also when did this even happen? She became a hunter after one day?! She’s not special bruh this is so annoying. Don’t even get me started on her back story… who cares she laid there and they didn’t check on her while busy fighting the beast tf and she waited or whatever she could have just got up. Like is she being for real? Lmao Whoever casted her ruined this part of the season and it sucks because it’s the end of teen wolf it should be at least somewhat watchable but she just ruins it for me

I only kept watching because I liked Theo & Liam's storyline. Liam helped rehabilitate our friendly neighborhood sociopath, Theo prevented Liam from murdering the shit out of Gabe & company, Cody Christian is easy on the eyes, etc.
BUT. As much as I loved their eventual arrival at "murder is not always the answer," I REALLY wish they'd made an exception for Monroe, and it's annoying. Theo was second only to Peter when it came to being willing to kill someone in cold blood to solve a problem. Malia's willingness to let her go was annoying too; she had firsthand experience with someone who made multiple attempts to kill her.

I agree on every level with this comment and referring to Theo as the friendly neighborhood sociopath is so accurate😭

The scene in the locker room where Theo is offering to help dispose of Gabe's body and then giving Liam a "congrats on the not-murder!" pep talk is one of my favorites. Gabe's just lying there like "why am I part of a werewolf therapy session? Is this normal for them?"
It's right up there with Liam tackling Nolan off the ledge at the zoo, and Theo looking simultaneously alarmed and impressed.

To be fair to Monroe’s cause her not being checked on wasn’t the issue it was a symptom. Humans in beacon hills get the short end of the stick like in most super nature shows they are fodder. The reason she was able to radicalize so many people was because humans are fodder and often an after thought to every dangerous situation for the entire show. We are worried about the pack not the people the kanima killed, the alpha pack killed (Paige ei), the people the nogitsune slaughtered at the hospital and sheriff station, the people the dread doctors experimented on, so on and so on.

Her point was so dumb to me…makes no sense how she wanted to destroy the people who risked their life to protect them. She has black and white thinking and nothing she said in her explanation made sense. I don’t think they had time to search thru bodies to see if anyone is breathing because they were busy running for their lives. That was the cops job and the cops did do that. Idk she sounds out of touch. It’s a supernatural world there will always be casualties on both sides, supernatural characters died too. I view her as unintelligent in the show.

Monroe was a truly baffling choice for a big bad in the final stretch of the show when Gerard was literally right there for easy pickings.
The scene with her in the woods or whatever, shooting that hellhound in the head should have been her getting her head ripped off and Gerard using that incident to whip the fear demon affected population of Beacon Hills into a killing frenzy.
I don't know if the actress done better job elsewhere but in Teen Wolf she has the charisma of a wet, slightly moldy paper bag.. at least Gerard you love to hate as Hogan can chew scenes with the best of them, her though not so much.

I actually like 6B. Monroe is a realistic portrayal of unrealised PTSD gone wrong. She was incredibly traumatised by what happened to her, and in order to try to control that overwhelming fear, she ended up going to the extreme.
Some people shut down. Some people get help. Some people fight back. Fear is an incredible motivator. Monroe was entrenched in her fear, and tapped into it in others. Granted, the actress wasn’t the best, but she did the job well enough that she’s one of the most hated villains and teaming her up with Gerard was brilliant because we already know the guy is a master manipulator, but with Monroe he was able to do it unchecked and unsupervised.
I honestly wish the movie was about the conclusion to that storyline because the show leaves off with her and numerous civilians taking off and recruiting others with the promise they’d be back to finish what they started.

I appreciate you sharing your unpopular opinion. Your empathy is respected here. I just didn’t feel that for her, and as someone who cries at shows and movies constantly, her trauma that they showed did not move me. I walked away from those scenes thinking she’s an entitled delusional cry baby. She even saw Scott trying to help that night and still had a vendetta against him. Her behavior and perception showed that she herself lacks empathy and is driven by self centered ness and it makes me feel like the scene where Stilinksy is comforting her after what happened was more than she deserved.

Her trauma would have been moving if she hadn’t become so twisted by it and used it to hurt others and galvanise others into doing the same. A lot of innocent people on both sides, were hurt because of her trauma. That’s why she doesn’t get much sympathy. I don’t like her, either. She is my most hated and very much on par with Kate for me. Gerard is a hair below her because she was able to do what Gerard attempted to do and failed, which was start a war.

I genuinely never finished watching season 6B because Monroe and her terrible acting just pissed me off so much. I couldn’t stomach it.

“She became a hunter after one day.” Is a part I disagree with. She’s clearly a fumbling idiot who can barely use a gun when she shot halwin. The next time she goes after someone she fucks it up completely and Brett gets away. She is then immediately taken under Gerard’s wing a man who has trained hundreds of hunters at least.

She has this face of being “oh I feel bad” “no I’m just gonna cause pain on you” “oh what did I do” “alright I’m gonna kill you now” she’s an awful character

There’s nothing worse than an awful person who tries to act like the good moral character. I just can’t stand those characters

They sweep across the land like Nazi’s, and they make her the face of it. She is a scared little girl, and there is no way she could amass thousands of followers. It was all Gerard, and her story is complete bullshit. Rage bate is right I hate that bitch.

I wont speak on the actresses ability as I am pretty good at ignoring bad acting and seeing it as "thats just how the character talks and moves." But Monroe as a character really makes 6B hard to watch. Not because of the acting but because as a character she is so infuriating. Every step of the way felt like pure luck on her side. I know Gerard helped her to learn but god i felt like she shouldve died from either the hellhound or Brett in the earlier episodes of the season or by like Jackson later on when they did the weird jump cut to him somehow being captured which i always felt was a weird yada yada moment. But also not just Monroe the teens her and the Anuk-Ite radicalized as well were so annoying. Even when I was a teenager I wanted Theo to kill them😭yes it would have been anthetical to his character arc but still. This season just felt like one frustration after another in the worst way.

6B? There is no 6b, and there is no movie either. The show ended at 6a.

Monroe was in the right

When she had the whole town outside the sheriff station with guns to kill the two teens and Stilinsky told her she’s going to start a blood bath and she said “I’m trying to prevent one” lmao ya she’s a real smart lady. Such a joke of a character. Logic is non existent in her pee wee size brain

u/Lara_shest 9d ago
Being super natural doesn’t mean it’s going for her to kill them. She was a bigger murder than any of those teen wolves. They never hurt anyone, she did. She’s a hypocrite and she’s very dumb.
2
u/George_Reiner 8d ago
She's a victim trying to feel in control of her life again and so are all of her followers
2
u/Lara_shest 8d ago
I can’t get past her telling teenagers like Nolan to do the killing for her that’s another sign she’s highly disturbed with very selfish mentality which in my mind makes her the perpetrator not the victim. Serial killers for example were at some point a victim of something in childhood and grow up to do terrible things trying to take control but they still suck because that’s never an excuse

And yet Peter hale and the argents are beloved. Okay.
2
u/Lara_shest 8d ago
Peter hale was honest about who he was he never acted like he was morally superior while doing messed up stuff. He wasn’t a hypocrite. And the argents are not loved, Chris is loved because he understood right from wrong, and lived by the code of never taking a wolves life if they haven’t hurt anyone. This chick is ready to take out teenagers who aren’t even supernatural lol

Isn’t 6b the season people were saying was a backdoor pilot to a cancelled spinoff?
1
u/Mayfinder_1 True Alpha 4d ago
That spin off got cancelled. It never happened. Since the movie completely skipped over 6b's plot, this season really doesn't serve a purpose.
