i know they get brought up every now and then but currently rewatching and like what is even going on? derek wheeling erica into a room and touching up on her and stuff?? the kiss later on in the season??? how odd 🤨 another thing, i wish we knew more about her family like what did they think happened to her? did i miss this part?

I thought the scene in the hospital was very poor taste on the part of the writers. Why would anyone wheele and underage girl into morgue? And then he used her insecurities to manipulate her. Kind of a really shitty scene, and it was never addressed later that he was being a manipulative asshole to her.  Maybe if she stayed with the show longer they would have, idk.

Derek wanted privacy. They do address it by calling out Derek for creating a pack so quickly without actually understanding them

He took Erica somewhere more private to convince her and give her the bite. The implied intimacy… was in very bad taste, especially because she was about to turn 16/had just turned 16 and he’s supposed to be 22/23.

We never hear of Erica’s mum mentioned, just her dad, so makes me wonder if she’s a one-parent child, too.

The kiss.. Erika jumped on him and he shoved her off and told her to not do that Agian While rubbing off his mouth, so obviously he didn’t like it
