Discussion Derek Hale deserved better

I cannot stop thinking about how much Derek suffered throughout the series. He lost his family, his home, and even his peace. Did the writers ever give him the justice he deserved?.

Discussion Did the Hunters Really Find Laura's Body After She Died?

I have been a fan of Teen Wolf for years now and have recently started re-watching the show to write a fanfiction I came up with an idea for ages back, however, there's something that has always bugged me and I would love to hear everyone's opinions on! I know the simplest (and most likely) explanation is that Jeff Davis didn't fully think this through, but my brain craves order so please bear with me.

Laura Hale is found in two halves a fair distance away from each other (considering the police didn't find her immediately after conducting their search) and it's unclear to me whether the hunters were responsible or Peter. This is because I can't see the reasons WHY the hunters would involve themselves in Laura's death (implying it was Peter) but Kate does later claim they did it when she goads Derek into a fight ["Too bad she howled like a b**ch...WHEN WE CUT HER IN HALF"] which implied Derek was right in thinking they were responsible for the state of Laura's body. However, she always asserts they DIDN'T kill Laura which we know is true and means at least the first half of that sentence is definitely a lie.

The two halves being so far apart is also strange. We could explain it as coyotes carrying one or both parts of Laura away later on, but if that were the case there wouldn't be much left of her by the time she was found (as gross as it is). This tells me the separation was either deliberate or a result of the force from whatever cut/ripped her in half.

I can only come up with two possible scenarios for what happened, but they both have their problems:

  1. Peter killed Laura and a member of Chris' hunting party (or a group of them) found her body later on. They somehow recognized her was a werewolf who died in a fight with another werewolf (maybe because Laura Hale was well-known?) and decided to cut her in half to send a message to other supernatural creatures in the area that the hunters were here, effectively taking credit for Laura's death. They then told Kate what happened and she embellished for the sake of provoking Derek.

This one, while plausible, seems a little unlikely to me. The window this would have needed to happen in would be very tight. It also seems strange to (presumably) string up her dead body and cut it in half only to scatter the pieces, effectively losing the symbolism behind her being found in that state as it would take longer to identify her. It also doesn't seem to fit with the hunters' usual MO. They show no interest in the affairs going on between packs beyond what they need to for strategy and their code kind of depends on their prey being both alive and having killed a human (Laura fit neither of these prerequisites). I don't see a feasible reason they would have inserted themselves into Laura's death beyond the one I already laid out and even that could have been demonstrated through one of their ACTUAL kills.

  1. Peter killed Laura AND ripped her in half. The force it took to do so, with his strength, then sends the two halves of her body a large distance from each other by sheer happenstance. This is done to both take Laura's position as Alpha and either cover his tracks or blame the hunters so when Derek came he could use that to convince him to join the pack. The statement Kate gave when goading Derek was a lie intended to piss him off enough to come out.

This one seems more likely to me as it's in character for the insidious nature we see from Peter in season 1 and Kate is shown to have no problems with lying to anyone and everyone to get what she wants, but it also has its problems. If Peter ripped Laura in half to make it harder for the police to identify her and cover his tracks, that doesn't seem in character at all as he never seemed to care about that stuff and had legit the best apparent alibi in the show. If he did it to blame the hunters it WOULD be in character but would require he already knew the hunters were in town. He could have technically found this out at any point over the winter break (it's never said when exactly in those few weeks they arrived) but still somehow feels unlikely.

Which one do you think happened or is there a third possibility I haven't considered?

I know I'm overthinking it, but please I need to understand how this happened. It's literally crucial for the plot of my story lmao

Discussion Who had the best character development in Teen Wolf?

For me it has to be Lydia. She went from being seen as just the popular girl to one of the most powerful and smartest characters. Who do you think had the most growth?

Question Plot holes?

Hi! I have been a Teen Wolf fan for 10 years now and as much as I love this show, I cannot deny the (many) plot holes that it has.

So I’m curious, what plot hole drives you the most nuts in Teen Wolf?

For me, I think the druids/emissary backstory bothers me a lot. I feel like Deaton was a pretty important character for Scott and the pack, specifically in the earlier seasons, and they kinda just rushed an explanation of his backstory and relationship with Derek.

**Also, not a plot hole but a side tangent: I HATEDDDD how they never really acknowledged the severity of Kate literally grooming Derek. Like she was DISGUSTING.

Question this question is for my woke queer girlies or boys

I'm just starting season 2, I wasn't in the fandom when it was active but I've heard a lot of "sterek", I know it's Derek and Stiles, I want to know if it's queerbaiting and Stiles ends up together with Lydia, or if they really end up together. I didn't want to spoil too much but I can't hold back my curiosity anymore, because I also really like Stiles with Lydia, popular girl x yearning boy, I love it

Question Cora Hale Spoiler

Since I am researching Teen Wolf, there is something I cannot stop thinking about.

In season 1, Derek said he buried his sister under Wolfsbane Spiral. Scott and Stiles found that body. Derek told them it was his sister. But then we see Cora very much alive in season 3. What am I missing?

Question Looking for Magical Stiles fic

I read a fic where Stiles is at the vet clinic and he's doing magic seemingly without realizing it. Like (I think) levitating, and stirring a drink without touching spoon or cup. I don't know if there was a pairing but if there was it was either Steter or Sterek.

I would love to read this story again, or any story with similar elements. Thanks!

When stiles was like starting being controlled by the nogitsune he had just told Scott about how he couldn't tell if he was awake bc he couldnt read anything, like constantly everything was always just a jumble of letters, so then why later in the episode when he was in his dads office when his dad was looking through old case files could he read stuff like the fact it was a full moon or what happened in a certain case when he supposedly couldn't read?

Discussion Which male character did you love watching evolve?

Okay, I'll start first. For me it's Peter Hale. From the very beginning he knew exactly how to play people, and the way he manipulated Lydia was both terrifying and brilliant. He wasn't just some random bad guy, he had plans within plans, and half the time you didn't even realize until it was too late.

And the best part is how his role kept changing through the seasons. He could be a villain, a survivor, an ally, even a backstabber, and somehow he pulled it all off. One moment you hate him, the next you find yourself enjoying his scenes. I especially loved when he was with Stiles. Their interactions were always hilarious, full of sarcasm and those quick lines back and forth.

So that's my pick, but who's yours? Which male character had the best development for you?

Question Why didn't they make Thiam canon?

Ive watched the series back in 2020-2021 i remember how i loved them and how they were so big. To compare they were as loved and popular as Stydia as far as i can remember. I only heard the rumor about how Cody felt uncomfortable with Dylan being underage etc but it doesn't fully make sense or does it? Also i haven't watched the movie cause everyone says its shitty. The main reason why i find it dumb is that the company would make hella money out of it not just that but it'd be good plot too.

Where to watch teen wolf movie

Hello! I’ve been having issues trying to get the Teen Wolf movie (finally got my girlfriend to watch/finish the show and she’s eager for the movie). I have the correct Paramount+ plus subscription and I’m in the US, but it keeps saying it’s unavailable. I haven’t been able to get a response out of Paramount+ all day but I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Thanks!

Discussion IMO Scott's Best Scene

Scott's best scene IMO is either him in the library with the beast or when he stopped Isaac and the twin (I can never remember or tell which one it was) when he first showed the signs of being an alpha

What exactly is an emissary

What exactly is the role of an emissary in teen wolf. Do they have to be druids? Do they have to use magic in some way? From what I recall deaton never actually used any magic, he was just very knowledgeable on all things supernatural.

I am trying to figure this out for a fanfiction I am thinking of writing.

Discussion Which Teen Wolf couple was the most interesting to watch?

Okay, I'll go first. For me it was Lydia and Jackson. They were never the perfect couple, but that's what made them so interesting to watch. Lydia acting like the perfect girlfriend while being so much more underneath, and Jackson always chasing perfection gave their scenes a tension that kept me hooked.

And my heart still skips a beat in that scene where Jackson asks her to give back his house key. I just wanted them to figure it out and finally work. So, which couple did you enjoy watching the most?
