What was the second dawns plan? Spoiler

If their bunker can only generate enough water food and oxygen for 1200 people for five years and they had 1100 what was their plan when the 5 years were up and the ground would be survivable for another 200 years.

Bill had one of the whacky rune things and I think his plan was to use those 5 years to decipher it so he could use it to save his people. He believed the answer was in the rune and went through the portal once they finally opened it and his people followed.

Then they set up shop on Bardo if memory serves, using the runes to travel around and continue figuring out how the runes would save humanity.

I don’t think he planned on staying in that bunker longer than 5 years since he figured he would be able to solve the rune in that time

Cadogon was detrimentally devoted to believing that the stone would take them to another world. He was right but only because Becca had the flame and decoded it. He had his crew looking for survivors two years later only because he failed at the stone. Cali stated as such when Becca arrived that his flock was dying, mostly by suicide at an increasing rate because they didn't think they were gonna be down there that long.

The bunker was also abandoned for 95ish years. And so that could have affected the equipment.

No the point was that if there was anymore than 1200 people, everyone would suffocate and starve because the equipment wouldn't produce enough food and oxygen for more than 1200. The equipment would last longer than 5 years

Yes. The bunker would definitely last longer than 5 years (it actually lasted over 6).

And in Cadogan’s time it would have lasted longer as the equipment was brand new then. Plus The Second Dawn didn’t fill up the bunker as much as Wonkru did.

We can also include the fact that Raven managed to get the bunker running a 3rd time in season 7 after X amount of years had passed, indicating the equipment was still viable.
