Showing my boyfriend this show for the first time except I can’t keep my mouth shut

I was extremely excited when he wanted to watch The 100 with me (not like I’ve been asking for almost a year) but we soon found out that I cannot shut up for the life of me. Within the first episode I said something about a “cannibal queen” and now he keeps trying to guess who she is (he was first convinced it was going to be Charlotte until I sat him down and said that the poor girl was actually gone and didn’t “miraculously” survive).

But I fear I made my worst mistake today… we were starting season 3, and he told me how much he liked season 2 over 1 because it was less “teenage drama”. I replied with that he was going to love this season then because it’s my favourite. But then I paused and added that even though it’s my favourite, I couldn’t bring myself to rewatch it (until now obv) (Lexa was my gay awakening and I’m still heartbroken).

AND THE FIRST THING HE ASKS IS IF LEXA IS GOING TO DIE THEN. I tried my best to school my face into a neutral expression but god that was hard to do. I distracted him with something else and sort of made it seem like it was a ridiculous question and she was obv surviving…

I really need to learn to keep my mouth shut.

I did the same thing when I finally convinced my sister to watch it!

I accidentally alluded to the fact that Lincoln was going to die and then I tried to backtrack and ended up promising her that Lincoln wouldn’t die. He’s her favourite character, I think she might ragequit when he dies.

On top of that I spoiled Bellamy and Jaspers death. Bellamy while complaining about him dying before she agreed to watch the show and Jasper because she hates him with passion.

I’m so glad I haven’t spoiled the second praimfaya, I came close so many times but I managed to catch myself.

I’ve been watching this with a friend (their first time, definitely not mine, lol), and I find myself having to shut my mouth a lot. Funny enough, we’re also in season 3. I think the last episode was Lexa’s death.

Like I think toward the end of season 2 I mentioned “this show should really be called The Raven Reyes Torture Hour.” Which isn’t a bad spoiler, but does indicate Raven will be around for quite awhile. And, though, I didn’t mention the “cannibal Queen” I did say “just wait until you meet Blodreina!”

I know there’s a few other things I’ve said that I immediately wanted to take back, but oh well. I get off a little lucky since my friend doesn’t tend to ask anything like your examples of your boyfriend asking if Lexa dies or trying to figure out who the Cannibal Queen is. Instead, I ask them questions, like when Lexa and Roan were dueling I asked who they thought was going to win. I did confirm that one of them wins and someone does die, lol.

It's a good thing I have a completely different taste in shows and movies than most my friends. I wouldn't make it through the first 10 minutes before blowing the whole plot. LOL I know how you feel.
