Wonderstorm TDP Arc 3 News crackdown

Hey TDP fandom! Hope everyone enjoyed Wonderstorm’s latest TDP panel at 2025 SDCC in San Diego, California! During the past two months things have been pretty quiet and we have not been getting many updates about the TDP saga.

Let’s recap a bit on what transpired between May and June before we crack TDP’s arc 3 updates and news during the news.

TDP content that was represented between May through June:

Some fans revealed some never before seen storyboards that were supposed to be revealed during season 7 but were cut as deleted scenes.

Paula Burrows posted on her Instagram account revealing herself working on voice recordings and teasing that something was getting leaked at TDP SDCC by signing an NDA not to reveal too much detail suggesting arc 3 is already in the works.

TDP posted they were hosting new merchandise starting with new primal pins in partnership with WYP jewelry. They also announced new merchandise of clothing doing preorders live in partnership with sharkrobotstore.

Now let’s dive deep into the ongoing process of arc 3’s development and production process that was revealed by Wonderstorm’s SDCC panel. There was a lot to take in and process of what just happened at TDP’s arc 3 panel.

There’s been a lot of confusion about the information about the latest updates of TDP’s arc 3 news so instead of trying to explain everything in large paragraphs, I’m going to break this down into question and answer mode to make it more easier for everyone to understand where we are at with arc 3’s development. I think I might’ve left some things out that were announced during the panel.

Who attended and hosted TDP’s arc 3 panel?

Aaron Ehasz Justin Richmond Jack De Sena A new voice actor of Dante Bosco who voiced Zuko in Avatar The Last Air Bender who will be voicing Zym in phase 3. Liam O’Brian is another new voice actor who will be playing a brand new arch dragon character to which many people believe is Luna Tenebris’s unsuitable heir.

What’s going on with arc 3 production?

To explain things short and brief, Wonderstorm announced that they’re projecting and developing arc 3 with Kickstarter to make seasons 8, 9 and 10.

To those who are still confused or don’t know what Kickstarter is; it’s basically a platform where you donate money to support a developmental project.

In other words, TDP is using Kickstarter by asking the fandom’s help to raise funds to support and promote arc 3 through crowdfunding to make phase 3’s production into a reality by looking into the right partnership companies that can meet strong financial needs and goals. It’s like saying that arc 3 will be a stand alone series.

What is arc 3 called?

Wonderstorm officially announced that arc 3 will be called The Dragon King and word is it’s going to be more mature with adult content.

Will we be getting an official trailer?

On the video of Liam O’Brian that TDP posted to their YouTube channel, he clarified that we’ll be getting another trailer in a few weeks from now. The only tricky part is that we don’t know when it could fall somewhere along the line in August.

Is arc 3 greenlit and have any streaming services agreed to partner with Wonderstorm yet?

Arc 3 is in the works but it’s not greenlit and there’s no official confirmation that any streaming service will promote arc 3’s storyline. Even Netflix itself hasn’t said anything about green lighting arc 3.

What characters have been given a glow up?

Based on the teaser trailer TDP released into their YouTube channel and the image of the starry night sky, only Zym, Ezran, Callum and Claudia were shown to have upgraded appearances even if their silhouette figures are still hidden in plain sight.

Did I miss anything else about arc 3 panel? If so, give me your thoughts and opinions as there is a lot of mixed reactions of Wonderstorm partnering with Kickstarter to promote arc 3.

A new archdragon? I really thought they were done with archdragons after disposing of the last ones.

Lunar Tenebris air that was deemed unworthy. It was when they were flying on Zubia back and mentioned again

A lot of mixed reactions that they're using Kickstarter is very huge understatement.
In any case, I think it's safe to say, a lot of goodwill they had with the fans, just got atomized.

In many ways they're essentially saying, "yeah we made seven seasons that achieved nothing with a sponsor. So anyway we're making a new series, that's connected but isn't, and we want you to pay for it, you can trust us."

Regardless it's pretty clear there's a lot of apathy towards the show now.
The general consensuses is pretty much "I just don't care anymore."

Kind feels like they know the show can't stand on it's own merits, so they're trying to use star power to drum up interest.

Yeah, no fucking thank you. They wasted so much time with stupid subplots that were just bleh (the fire elves taking up so much time kept driving me insane, I fucking hated all their characters by the end of it).

They could have cut so much fluff from the last few seasons and actually told a concise story, but instead went so many different directions and tried to set up so many things that it just never delivered on. Having 7 seasons to tell a story and then doing what they did was just so shit.

im sorry but they failed Season 7 hard enough that i.....totaly wont support them on Kickstarter.

Im just dissapointed eough that after reading this and some other Drops of News about it and i felt....nothing....and if i feel nothing im not going to spend money for it.

god luck and hope everyone willing to spend/hope Arc 3 happens gets his wishes :D

but i for myself take a quit on the show....sadly

They should make it a movie instead. I don't need 3 seasons about a new dragon prince. Just give us the epic finale we wanted, and defeat Aaravos already. Make the new prince a Star Dragon and do the thing they did to Leola or whatever.

I’m excited about the prospect of this project continuing and hope the team can pull it off. Any continuation is better than none, and i need more! I hope they stay true to their original vision and avoid compromises driven by potential sponsors. It will take time but that doesn't matter. I hope arcs 2 and 3 blend seamlessly. Some fans criticize arc 2’s subplot, and I agree they weren’t always engaging, some parts even frustrating but they weren’t entirely irrelevant and added more to the story and could pay off in the future arc, patience.

To fans: show your support for this project! Don’t let frustrations with arc 2 sink arc 3 before it even sets sail.
