Discussion Could Viren have made the primal stone?

I had always assumed the sky primal stone from S1 was loot from the dragon royalty's "treasure in their lair" (paraphrasing Viren when he's talking about the mirror) However, I was rewatching the show for the umpteenth time again today and it finally connected for me that this obviously wasn't the case since Viren uses it to fight Thunder in the magma titan incident, well before they would've looted Aaravos' mirror and any other magical treasures after killing Thunder.

So naturally, that led my mind to wonder: could Viren have made this primal stone somehow?

Here's what Rayla says about them: (paraphrasing all quotes 'cause I'm on my phone)

"Primal stones are incredibly rare. They're been sought after by the most powerful archmages in history, and now somehow... you have one."

Now, of course, none of this alone is enough to even begin to suggest Viren could have made it, but Claudia says something interesting in S1E2 when she's messing with Callum in the library and introduces him to the stone:

(Callum) "What's inside?"

(Claudia) "It's a storm, a real storm. Captured from the top of Mount Kalik."

First of all, Mount Kalik is the (ka) tallest mountain on the human side of the border, so what would elves have been doing over there making it? Second, how the heck would Claudia know where the storm inside is from if it's an ancient Xadian artifact made by elves? I think it's a more modern piece of magic. The only conclusion that makes sense to me here is that Viren could've used dark magic to somehow harness a storm on Mount Kalik to make it, hence Claudia's casual knowledge about its particular creation.

Then again, it could all just be reading in too far to writing conveniences and all sky primal stones are made specifically on top of Mount Kalik. What do you think?

It might be litterally unspeakable spell. Altrough it's far more intresting how did they penetrated his scales.

I buy into this theory. Seems even more likely now since we can see Harrow wielding Sarai's spear fitted with a dragon horn and glowing with dark magic on the NYCC poster.

I'm fact, this theory seems so likely that I'm really worried about what's gonna happen with the McGuffin dragon horn Soren and Claudia are bringing home.
