That was awesome. I loved every single bit of the battle, but mostly Baker boy throwing out those tarts like shuriken though.

talk about the most OP guy out there. Only armor he has is an apron and he's wielding a rolling pin and tarts and just going ham on demonized fiery soldiers.

I mean he did rip metal bars out of a stone wall so he must pretty jacked. I guess lifting flower and baked goods all day will do that to ya.

Hand kneading and rolling dough all day everyday is going to leave you jacked.

Reminds me that I'm waiting on a movie with Dwayne Johnson as a baker getting wrapped up in a big action set-piece and despite being jacked is constantly freaking out.

A wooden rolling pin at that.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Jelly Tart Baker is like the Ramen Guy of the Dragon Prince universe.

He is the Cabbage Man Hero we always needed.

I laughed harder at the guy standing in the front with just a rolling pin, then i should have. I mean all the guys have armor, swords and shields and he goes to war with just baking tools. shows confidence and skills....

My guess is he's some kind of a spy with a secret agenda. He was after all part of the group that snuck the king away.

He's the NPC that the party loved so much the DM decided to flesh out his character more and bring him into the final battle

It's my headcanon that he used to be either a member of Harrows personally guard or a high ranking member of the military, so when he retired from military service Harrow gave him a job as a member of his personal staff.

I can see why people like it, but it was such a mood-killer for me.

Here's a show that tries so damn hard to be serious and philosophical and talks about complex politics... oh and here's the queen of a major kingdom standing next to a random baker.

Here's a volley of arrows impaling hundreds of soldiers, who die for following a tyrant who told them they were defending their country, to show the audience that war is hell, and here's the baker throwing tarts at people.

Yeah. It definitely feels incongruous with the whole tone of the scene.

I thought that bit was immersion breaking because of how silly it and unrealistic was.

I shouted angrily at my screen at that, and then had my annoyance solidified when he used his treats in his "fighting style." It would be like if the cabbage seller in ATLA was suddenly a swashbuckling hero, who came to Aang's rescue
