Without Murrey this will be very shallow and forced. But the idea sounds better than the other spin-off

What was the other spin-off idea? I do know there was a TV movie supposed to be set in the 90's w/Nia Long (supposed to be Mr. Glasscott's sister) and her two daughters that turned into the spin-off "Schooled" w/Lainey Lewis teaching music at WPA. That's the only one I knew of.

No, it's cool. I heard there was a rumor of a spin-off/casting scam in June. Then, when I Googled today to see if there's casting for a spin-off, it said no. I couldn't find anything about this on Google or YouTube.

Not at the present time.
There was a spin-off ofĀ The GoldbergsĀ titledĀ SchooledĀ that aired from 2019-2020 and followed Lainey Lewis (AJ Michalka) as she returned to her alma mater to become a music teacher. However,Ā SchooledĀ was canceled after two seasons. There were reports of a casting scam circulating online in June 2025 claiming to be for a Goldberg spinoff.Ā
While there isn't a current casting call for aĀ GoldbergsĀ spin-off, the possibility of a future revival or follow-up remains open. Sean Giambrone, who played Adam Goldberg, has expressed interest in reprising his role if a revival were to happen.Ā

You never know- thereās been plenty of cable shows with relative unknowns from non-union before, and also they do it for animation a lot too.

Adam and Jackie are married? For one, that makes no sense since she wasn't his last or current gf when original show ended. He was with Brea for awhile after Jackie and then with Carmen the final season. For another, the replacement Jackie sucked (sorry -just my opinion). The original Jackie (Rowan Blanchard) was perfect for the role and fit better with Adam/had better geeky chemistry w/him(mean that in a good way -not insulting). Is this even real or something a Superfan or Troll put up to screw with ppl/feel important?

Does Rowan Blanchard still act? Every time I see her it's on social media and she's usually damn near naked; I know she didn't want to come back for Season 6 but I thought she'd continue to act.

I'm not sure. I personally haven't seen her in anything else since but I think I've heard she was in some show. It's a shame she left the show because I thought she played the character really well and didn't care for the girl they replaced her with (she just didn't fit as well and her chemistry with Adam was lacking).

Not only was it a different girl, but the girl played her different. Jackie was just as geeky as Adam but she had more going on for her, she was involved in school activities and even had a lot more common sense than Adam.
The new actresses played Jackie like just another girlfriend with no depth to her. It sucks because I don't think Rowan had projects or scheduling issues, she just didn't want to come back

Pops dying (on show and irl) and Murray getting axed(dying on show but quit/got canned irl) really sucked a lot out of the show. I still watched every season and still watch reruns on the Roku Live TV channel (The Goldbergs channel) but it definitely wasn't the same. I would probably still check it out, mostly out of curiosity. I always liked Barry(aka Big Tasty)š.

The show ended two years ago, and they're recasting everyone for what essentially is a sequel series set one year after the original series ended? Just reading about this gave me a headache.

It's a known union because I'm independent I'm making a reboot on my own I'm just gonna switch up the name a little bit and cast a bunch of randoms and use a recording of the Adam f Goldberg productions tag at the end of the episode then post it on YouTube to make people think it's a real series because I know people really don't want the series to end and I don't either that's why I'm making this reboot I'm not ai

I'm sorry. This is really bugging me. How can this be set one year after Adam graduates HS when he already graduated, was supposed to go to NYU but deferred a year(because he didn't want to leave Bec after Murray passing so recently). The final season of OG show was the year he deferred after HS. I know there have always been some inconsistencies/continuity issues with the show but this is really off.
