Pops FL
Im sure thas been discussed alot, but Im watching for the first time. So, their grandpa moved to FL. There was a whole fight between him and Adam about it. Then Barry and Erica visit him, and break into the pool. He said he loved it there! He isn't in the show much around that time and I assumed they moved him to FL because he was older, etc. But then not long after that, he starts being in more episodes again and is around alot and seemingly doesnt live in FL anymore??
Is this just the same continuity error that happened like when Adam had two sixteen birthdays? Or is there another reason i dont know about?

It's called snowbirding, when American senior citizens start spending winters in Florida usually to escape the winter cold of northern states. Often January through March but some spend up to half the year there. This way Pops is around for holidays and milestones but not in every episode.
George Segal was a veteran actor and loved the show and his fellow actors but he was very old and had health problems so couldn't keep up with the pace of filming for scenes in every episode. This plot direction allowed his character a plausible reason to be around less and it is canon because Adam's real Pops did winter in Florida in his senior years.

The Airplane episode should have been them going to visit POPS. Not some random cousin that had never been mentioned. But that would have made too much sense.

He was probably a snow bird meaning only went to Florida during the colder northern months. I wish I was a snowbird every year when the weather turns lol.

It was a time share in Florida, so he's only in Florida part time. He buys the Time Share I believe in the WingMom episode.
